My family & I have been to San Miguel several times in October, we are going back there again this October. The weather has always been good for us, at night it does sometimes get abit chilly & damp, apart from that its fine. We have tried all 3 hotels and found them all ok...If you need to know anything else feel free to ask and i will do my best to answer any question you have...
Could anyone tell me if Zorro & the gang are still performing the songs., " Follow the leader " & " La Bomba "... Only 44 days to go before we go back, wish i could sleep for that long... If anyone happens to be going there soon, and you see Valentine from the Galleon Hotel could you tell him that the " Suicide Bomber " will be there in October... Thank you very much...
Yep still doing FTL & La Bomba. Still fireworks after boogie nights on the roof of the Western Saloon. Only 329 days till we're back next year for the 4th time.
Ahh yes the amazing fireworks however this year i felt sorry for Ollie doing it as he'd really injured his ankle whilst we were there, so he was standing on the Western Saloon roof resting on his crutches. If i am going to work it out, it's 336 days till we go back next year, also for our 4th time!I wish it was 36 days though!
Only 35 days to go cant wait fly out from Luton on 23 sept. Father christmas is flying from cardiff who you might know better as Taf .Is the water polo still played and volleyball.
Father christmas is flying from cardiff who you might know better as Taf
How is the old timer getting on ? is he still playing volley ball "let it bounce"
One of the funniest things you could ever see is Zorro getting Taf to run around clad only in a nappy a sight not to be missed, not forgetting of course a rendition of Star Trekkin and his 'Klingons on the starboard bow'
Graham
Can I wait, no I cannot, much as I like the Western etc since I do not have to pay for beer etc I am more looking forward to getting a super chilled one at that little bar in the secluded cove ten minutes walk from the hotel, walking the up then down "hill of death" as I have been told its called to the cove just for that bar is worth the holiday
When I first walked that path and looked over the peak that bar was like a mirage in the desert or a bar that you see on adverts on TV
However after a good few super chilled ones I needed a pee, I asked where the gents was though I had a feeling it was the bush behind the bar and the barman smiled and pointed to the sea, IE pretend you are going for a quick swim and have a fly one in the water
Took me bleeding ages
Woof
My highlight was also going to Benirras beach as well, there they manage to combine 'chilled' with busy.
I read in the Ibiza Sun paper that a man drowned in the sea at San Miguel last week. There's not a lot of detail in the paper though
When we were out there a few weeks ago, on the thursday night (3rd) there was a big storm, and within hours of it ending there were film crews there as big police vans turned up and men in scuba diving gear got straight in the sea searching for someone. Don't know if this is around the same time as what you read molliemoo.
just read the article back which was dated the 23rd August. They refer to it as happening at the weekend which would have been the 19th I suppose. So maybe the incident you saw was a different one???
Obviously was a different one, and if so very scary to have 2 deaths in the space of one month, in such a secluded bay like San Miguel. However i never found out whether what we saw there was a actually a search for a dead person. Whether they were found alive or not i would love to find out.
Please could anyone tell me if the shop that runs excursions in san miguel, do they day trips to the agua-mar park. If yes, what is the cost?. Ive read on the forum that there cheaper then the thompson trips. Only 4 Mondays to go Yippeeeeee !!!!!!! Thank you...
They do run excursions to the aqua park. I don't know the cost but the advert outside the shop states that they are cheaper then the thomsons trip (then again they couldn't be more expensive than thomsons who overcharge you for everything). The advert also says that they go on a different day to the tour operators so it isn't so busy.
could anybody tell me if the beach club rooms have been done up since we were last there, 3years ago and is santeago still manager of the beach club restaurant (top bloke)
I have been going for 3 years now and rooms are still the same as when we first went, but still fine when we only sleep in there. Yes Santiago is still manager there and he is still as good as ever He'll be there for a few years yet i am sure.
could anybody tell me who works on reception now
Beach club or Hotel?
sorry beach club
Sorry Ibiza Sun, - can't help you on that one - we've always stayed in the Hotel. I'm sure someone will get back to you though.
