I reckon we should have some sort of I,D. so we can pick one another out...Any suggestions ????? I would like to meet the people that talk about San Miguel & Ibiza. How about you?????

Just pricing this hotel up for next summer, nearly booked it this year but we're off to Rhodes instead. I hate all this, trying to decide whether to book it or go elsewhere. We did two years in Playa En Bossa, loved the way it was only a short journery to the airport.

Come on, sell this place to me. Kids will be 15 (OMG) 14, and 9, is there enough to keep them busy???

Hi, just received a message off someone who asked what I meant by sell the place to me, just a figure of speech!! To word it differently, lets hear all fantastic reports back again this year, then I'll feel i just have to go! :D

this place is absolutly rubbish please don't go
(then it won't be booked up quite so quick !!!)
just read the reviews , not many bad ones are there .....
more than enough to do for any age
last time we went the resort had 12 thomson reps living in resort.
the only fault we found was with all those reps they still have a day off and close the clubs down for a day- why dont they have different days off and stay open all week ?
Reply
The kids reps all have the same day off, because they have to have a certain rep to kids ratio, so if they have different days off, less kids will be able to attend each day. So by closing the kids club for one day means they can cater for more on the other 6 days.
Plus I suspect they all go out together on their day off and get hammered.

Can somebody tell me whether there are different coloured wrist bands for adults and children. If not how do they know the age of someone asking for an alcoholic drink? :D

if i remember rightly there are 2 colours 1 for adults and 1 for kids. but my daughter at 7 used to go get daddy a beer and they didnt seem to mind...

There are different coloured wristbands for adults and kids and also the colours are different depending on where you are staying, i.e the hotel, the beach club or the Galeon hotel. This is because although you can use the resaurants in all 3, you need to book the day before if you want to eat in a different one than the one where you are staying.

Do you have to book if you stay at the hotel to eat at the western saloon,or is this just classed as having a snack?
Reply
No you only have to book at the three main restaurants. The Western Saloon is just a 'burger & chips' snack bar that's open for food from midday till 7.00 pm.
By the way, - I'm at work at the moment and bored witless. Can some more people post so as it gives me something to do please. The sun's shining, the pubs open and I'm stuck here!! Still I s'pose it pays for the holiday.

Hello mick, Do you think it would be a good idea if we somehow make ourselves known to each other when we go to San Miguel. Whenever I go there I wonder how many other people from this forum are there.I for one would like to meet other forum members. What we would need is some sort of I.D. so others would know us...Any suggestions...

I think it's a good idea. Last year we met with one person who posts on here and it was good to put a face to a name. I know that cathliamluke will be out there the same time as us this year and it would be good to meet. I'm sure we can arrange that by pm. However perhaps we need to come up with another way of identifying each other.
Perhaps holidaytruths.co.uk could supply us with tee shirts and hats!! Or we could get our own shirts printed up with something like 'I think all Belgians are soft pansy boys'. That should impress Zorro and his pals!!
Btw Pooh I haven't forgotten about your p&p money for the CD. Just been so so busy at work, hence being here at the moment, - I'll send it later today.
Only about 3 hours to go if my staff get their finger out. Oh and 60 days to San Mig!!

Hi Mick, Dont worry about p&p, Just pleased to help...As for the I.D. what about wearing an England badge, there easy to get hold of & dont cost alot...I always wear my golf baseball cap so putting a badge on that would be easy...My family & I are back there this September (only 151 days to go) YIPPEE!!!! Aslong as I dont have to get up on the stage dressed as a lady again...
Reply
Thanks for that Pooh. So they got you up dressed as a women as well eh?
He got me the year before last. Had to spend the entire evening dressed like it. Also last year Kris done me on the stage arm wrestling. Now as you know he's got arms the size of tree trunks, whilst mine are like match sticks with the wood shaved off, - not a very fair contest.

Just one other thing, - does anyone know if the cost of sunbeds on the beach round at the little cove are charged at the same rate as on the main beach, and also the rough cost of drinks and snacks round there. We intend to go round there for a day, so want to make sure we take enough money with us, because as you know, you don't need to carry money about with you whilst in the complex.
Mick.

You used to be able to get HT t-shirts a while back - not sure what happened with that.
I've bumped into one or two fellow HT members on my travels, it'd be nice to see some more while we're at the San Miguel this summer - we'll be there from 8-22 August 8)

Hi,
Just had this email from San Miguel, thought you would like to read it.

Hi there,

Zorro & the gang still here as well as Jose in the Western Saloon.

I often wonder how many regulars will still return when Zorro leaves. I suppose it's too much to hope that Stan may have returned this year???

This year is definately our last at San Miguel and it will be our sixth visit. We will be there end of July/beginning of August and very much looking forward to it. Not sure if another resort will be able to match it overall but we thought it was time to give somewhere else a try.

Hope everyone has a great time when they are there and that the sun shines constantly :D
