anyone be able to tell me what the price of a taxi to the hotel will cost? get in the early hours of a sunday morning (12:30am) also how long would queuess be time wise?
had a quote to book from here at cost of £96 return, want to know if thats a good price or not
We have paid between 35 and 40 euros in previous years - maximum wait for a taxi was 5 minutes last year. The hotel will arrange for a taxi to take you back to the airport.
3 weeks tomorrow,getting exited.
yes you can still loan the beach towels from reception at 12 euros each
Food is a bit samey but good quality-even my fussy husband has found something he likes here
Got a great big appt with 2 rooms so plenty room for the 5 of us. Only downside is that all the poolside bed are taken by 7am. Cant believe we have to get up SO early to get a bed!!!!!! Loads and loads of Germans so that explains it.
Really, really hot so plenty of suncream for those heading out soon
Caz
You are lucky if you have been put in an apartment after booking through Thompsons as usually they are full with people booking direct with the hotel (they certainly are during 6 weeks school holidays!)- apartments are far better than hotel rooms. Enjoy the rest of your holiday - looking forward to our holiday there in a few weeks time
Back home already - the two weeks flew by and we had so much fun the children were in tears last night at the thought of it being their last night. We really did have a good time - will leave a review....
The German brigade must certainly have moved in, very few there when we went last year, although must say Brits as bad at sun bed blagging.
20 days to go and cant wait.
fitzmum - or anyone else who has been this year.
yes they are. They will work hard to get through the queue before time is up though as it's a bit like last orders with everyone getting their drinks in. But if you go over 11pm, it's only 2 euros per alcoholic drink and 1 euro for soft. We only stayed past 11 once, on the last night
Also, on the subject of tipping, it particularly annoyed me that on the tips bottles in the Western Saloon they had written 'no coins - just notes please' What a cheek.
The no coins note on the bottle has been there for atleast the last 4 years and is a bit of fun - it's not meant seriously.
you stay in the apartments don't you?? Don't suppose you've got any interior of view photos have you??
quiet air conditioning that you can leave on while you are out!!
Really looking forward to our holiday now.
Hi molliemoo - yes we do stay in the apartments but I don't have any photos of the interior, just a couple of views from the balcony- sorry. We are going in 3 weeks time so could take some and send them to you in a pm when we get back if that is any use? I don't think I would like to have to go back to staying in the hotel - apartments are much more spacious, have nice airy bathrooms and modern Really looking forward to our holiday now.
hi Dylan, that'd be great if you could. Been offered quite a good price on them, enough to make it tempting. But only stayed seaview side before. Who do you fly with? or do you shop around?
Views quite good inland - we fly with Jet2.com as their flights are usually out before Easyjet - if you have been offered a good price and want to return to the resort I would definately recommend the apartments.
well it would be our 4th visit to the resort, and I really don't have any issues with the SM at all. It's just that our kids are bigger and space is becoming an issue, so tempted as I say by the price more than anything. Only been back 6 days, got the blues still
Have a good one by the way!!!
Just a quicky, anyone who has been there more than once and have allready visited this year (lucky people :-P) then apart from jose, what other staff are at the western salloon and the beach club bar?
Beach club bar, all the same, apart from a few newbies who also cover the restaurants. Western Saloon is obviously still Jose and Tito, new girl Christina (who's really lovely), 2 other guys 1 whos name I don't know but has been there since 2006 (pretends not to speak english)
