I asked this question when I was looking at booking actually - it's for a few reasons - because they didn't want the all-day drinking atmosphere of an all inclusive (which I have to say I would agree with having been to some AI's). Also if a hotel provides drink all day long then the quality of that drink isn't going to be very good - because they are doing wines and beers with meals they are going to be able to offer much better quality.
I'm looking forward to that beer on my balcony already!
Hi, have just booked swim up rooms at Sensatori for next summer. Decided to go for it, even though its always a risk with a new hotel, as prices may rise soon :?. Look forward to hearing from anyone who finds out anymore about the resort or area as the hotel gets near its completion at the end of the year - hopefully
I have spoken to Thompson today and they are saying that the Sensatori is now due for completion by October this year.
Hope this info is of help to those who are not quite sure about booking.

I work on Sensatori in Thomson head office - I thought it would be easier to share all our updates with you directly rather than you having to struggle for information from bits and pieces you might find around the net.
If anyone has any specific questions they want answering then I will do my best - as the hotel is still under construction there are still things that are unconfirmed at this stage so I may not be able to cover everything, but I shall certainly do my best.
Finally, just to say congratulations for buying Sensatori! We are as excited about here in headoffice as our guests seem to be also - it's something very new for us and also very new for the travel industry as a whole so we're very glad to welcome you on board our Sensatori adventure!
Regards,
T
welcome to HT,
we welcome input from members of the travel industry, and trust that any information you may add to our forums will be accurate and factual, we had a problem a couple of years back where another TO was misleading customers/members and the national press [many of whom also are members] right up to some arriving at the airport for departure to find their chosen resorts not open.
We are a totally independent forum [unlike some others] and wish to keep that status by offering All members a chance to exchange information and voice an opinion

I completely understand your concerns but want to reassure you that I am simply here to ease and aid any questions and concerns that forum members may have. I of course will offer all information with the understanding that what we say is factually correct - it's exactly the reason I am here - to make sure customers are getting up to date and correct information, from which they can base their own decisions.
Kind regards,
T
What a stroke of luck! - Please could you give me thomsons email address, I have their phone number, fax number, address, but I have looked high and low for their email address, without any luck!

We're looking at booking the Sensatori for next summer - I've a few questions if you're able to answer them...
It'll be our first holiday with our new baby, who will be approx. 6 - 9 months old depending when we go. Will the hotel be suitable for families with young babies? Will I be able to pre-book baby essentials and if so, what do you offer and for what costs? Do you know yet how much the creche / babysitting will cost?
Many thanks in advance.

As it happens I am about to release some updated Sensatori childcare information to our Sensatori updates page on our site. The page will also include recent photography of how the build is progressing. I shall let you know when this is up and running - it should answer your questions on childcare,
Kind regards,
T
Thanks Thomsonhead office - that would be great!
Hi U2fan and anyone else interested in progress of the Sensatori in Crete. Just in case you havn't come across it, there is also a forum on Tripadvisor about the Sensatori so you can keep up to date with all current info on there as well
Do you have a link for it. I cant find it online.

Got so excited I forgot to paste it in

Hi, hope its ok to post this on here but thought it worth letting anyone who has booked, or is thinking of booking, the Sensatori in Crete, that there is updated information from Thomson on the TripAdvisor website that will definately be of interest to you. It would seem Thomson, who were heavily promoting this hotel as their new innovative flagship hotel, are now renaging on some of the benefits advertised, inparticular the type and number of restaurants included in their pricing. I won't write it all down here as it will just be duplication, but if you have booked the Sensatori it might be worth your while checking out what is happening. Hope thats ok mods
if you booked this holiday thinking you could eat in all 5 restaurants im afraid you too have been conned
thomsons have announced that you can eat in the buffet restaurant and a thai restaurant but you have to book the thai restaurant
the italian and the greek restaurant has disapeared, you have to pay to eat in the a la carte and the beachside grill
thomsons have misled lots of holiday makers

This hotel is being advertised as "on Lyttos Beach", shame they forgot to mention the road in front of it
A very kind person who lives close to the Sensatori (Atlantica Caldera Palace) has posted some photos and is willing to answer any questions about the local area and building progress. Isn't the internet a wonderful thing
