I don't know if you've been following the above forum but if you havn't and need any more links to some of the photos etc that have been placed I can post them on here to save you trawling through all of the posts. I presume you have also seen the latest update on the Thomson site? Have you booked to go or just thinking about it?

Just to say I live in Analipsi and I have been watching this hotel being built. I can say anyone how books for this hotel will not be disapointed. It is right on the beach & no expense has been spared.
The village of Analipsi is very peacefull no loud music or night clubs it is the perfect area if you just want to have a beach holiday & relax.

Thanks very much for your input anna.gr. As you can imagine there is a lot of uncertainty :que re the sensatori (not so much on here but on Tripadvisor) so any information from a reliable source is very much appreciated. You mention it is right on the beach, from the pictures I have seen there is a road inbetween the hotel and beach, is this right? Any other information on its progress would be very much appreciated over the next few weeks. Thanks again

Hi Janalice
Yes there is a road between the hotel & the beach but I do not think it will cause any problems. I have been watching the progress of this hotel for more than a year now & it is amazeing to see it now that it is just about finished, they have used alot of natural stone in places, they have planted lots of large palm trees. I was watching them last week bring some of the furniture out of the huge containers.
You will not be dissapointed with this hotel or the area. Analipsi is a small working village we still have donkeys going up & down the road
There are nice taverns & bars to try & a few gift shops. The sea is very clean and great beaches. as I said before if you want to relax you will not find a better place.
If there is anything you would like to know about the area just ask.
But I will keep you up to date on the hotel.

Thanks once again anna.gr :)
I have put a post on Tripadvisor as well as there may be people due to visit Analipsi with questions about the local area who would be very grateful for your local knowledge. Hope thats ok and I think as it gets nearer to May when the Sensatori is due to open you may well be inundated with questions! We're really looking forward to both the hotel and making the most of a local village as we enjoy a walk even in the heat of summer! It looks as though we should be able to walk along the beach front into Analipsi to make the most of the sea breezes! Do you have a business in Analipsi?
Thanks once more :)

Thanks for the infomation so far any new info would be very welcome by many people who are travelling to Sensatori this year.
I see by your profile that you own a Taverna what is the name. I am sure that many people would welcome buying you a drink during their stay in Analipsi to say thank you for keeping us up todate on the progress of the build. :

HI
Thankyou for the offer of a drink but my wee taverna is in Kato Gouves. A wee village just before Analipsi.
But now I think I should open it here in Analipsi now that there is this great hotel for all you lovely british people to come to.(by the way I am Scottish & my husband is Greek) He makes the best English Breakfast on the Island(real ENGLISH BACON & SAUSAGE).Anyway enough of that back to the subject.
Yes I am sure if you have booked this great hotel you will not be dissapointed it as it look first class & Analipsi is nice & relaxing. Everyone will make you feel at home here.
Janalice you will find many great walks here. August there is always a nice cool breeze so although the tempeture is high the coolness of the breeze makes the heat more plesant.
So if I can help in anyway please just ask. I have time on my hand for a few weeks yet before I start prepareing the taverna to open on the 1st May.(YES I am going to a nice family EASTER on the 27th April before I open) Because as from the 1st I do not get a day off till the end of october. And I am not talking about a 9 to 5 day I am talking of a 14/16 hour day. But I would not change my summer for anything. I have agreat time.

Hi Anna

Thanks for being so helpful with info, I am arriving on May 1st at the hotel and as Thomson don't seem to be posting recent info on the progress of the hotel folk have been getting a bit nervious. you're posts have put my mind at rest.

I do have a wee question for you though what is the weather like in the first week of May? I haven't been to greece before so not sure how hot it will be.

Hi tait
The weather in May is nice and hot in the day time but it can still be a bit cool at nights.some years we : do have the odd shower of rain but nothing that would spoil your holiday. To tell the truth may/june & september are the best months to come here as the tempature is not in the high 80s low 90s like july and august. Last july & august it was the high 90s just about every day(not good for us that are working in it) HA.HA.
