ive had some good prices from portland, direct holidays and thomson with free child places which help as long as they dont put on high supplements
is that summer holidays Karen - who was that with .?? if it is i think if you can get an adult price for under £800 and try and get a free child price i would be happy . We need 2 rooms and have to pay 4 adult prices + 1 child. and the best i can find so far is £3400 at sun city (including a free child place) - but as you know i really want to try Belcekiz beach next year but the cheapest i have with portland is still just under £4000 . but unfortunately unless i can get a good deal booking DIY only thomson/portland seem to sell it . i know i can probably get a much better deal at sun city purely because it is more widely available.
Goodness we are all posting at the same time.
akyaka is lovely, if you want a beach holiday, a handful of shops and bars, great scenery, but no clubs etc which suits me, im going july for 2 weeks with my 6 year old which will be fine but my son is 16 and hes taking his mate think they might get a bit bored as theyre not into the beach, but there are still boat trips to do, just depends what you are looking for, if you want a chilled relaxed no hassle holiday then akyaka is the place to go, also restaurants are slightly cheaper than say marmaris, but it is a beautiful place ive listed some photos of akyaka not sure if you have had a look. i do love olu deniz though
how does turkey compare to cyprus , i love cyprus and have been three times before .
yes it was around may 21st for 2 weeks from birmingham with portland, i got a free child place
When you use Portland's web-site sometimes you get the option for a single room for a really small supplement, a pound per night I think. This room has a double bed in it. I booked a triple and a single, it worked out cheaper than booking 2 triples. Would that work for you?
I think the reason the BB is so dear is there is no competition, but for 4000k you could probably get Lykia World, and with 3 children you might be better off with that, what with the 17 swimming pools and its excellent reputation on food.

ive been to cyprus too, its similar in the buildings etc, but cyprus was a lot dearer to eat out and i found the people not so friendly as the turks, ie we had a buggy with us and the bus driver in cyprus was moanin about us getting buggy on shouting etc, in turkey the driver would have got off the bus and put buggy in for you smiling thats the difference, i did like cyprus though, but prefer the turkish people
there are 3 of us and my daughter is only 6 so would be better to have her share with us, my son is refusing to come on holiday with us next year, i started off with 3 kids down to 1 now lol
well if its like cyprus i will love it , as you said its expensive in cyprus .
hi again Doepsmc I rememeber our first time to turkey - yes it was olu Deniz and stayed at the Asena Beach hotel (another great hotel ) . We arrived about 4pm -the best time of the day it was end May so weather was perfect sky was clear blue. after dumping our bags we went straight to the pool and sat down at the bar looked up around us and were absolutely stunned by the beauty of the surroundings. It is a sight we will never forget and have never been able to find anywhere again . i wont spoil it for you you have to experience it :D. . another fantastic sight is the beach - go down in the afternoon your first time - the main bach is fairly stoney but the sea really is Turqiouse - just beautiful
if you like cyprus you will love turkey, beaches etc similar, ive been to around 25 countries and turkey ticks all the boxes for me lol, every time i go somewhere different i always wish we were back in turkey, best for your first visit to go somewhere where the hassle isnt too bad going to a busy town you can get some hassle
well i think my mind is made up olu deniz it will be now just need to choose which hotel to stay at.
That message I left for Karen where I put about Lykia World, I think I mean't for yourself. (I'm trying to work at the same time as doing this and am getting confused have to keep minimising ) I was thinking that you could probably get Lykia for the same price as the Bel Beach if they want 4K and Lykia is still in Olu D even though it's a bit off the beaten track.
Karen
I think I will have to wait for Akyaka until we can get away without the kids. It sounds wonderful and very authentic. Like stepping back in time.
just gone on portland and the belcekiz is coming out 1380 today for the 3 of us ,wow so temptin
lykia is fab but its coming out £700 more for us grrrr, food is the best ive ever had in all hotels ive ever stayed in
hi doepsmc - i have looked at Lykia but unfortunately it doesnt appeal to us because theres nothing around it and for us Turkey is one place in the world where you need to be central and get in there with the turks . Its the people there that make your holiday. You will understand when you get there
book it now Karen - I insist - that was your first instinct - go with it
portland have got £50 off hols 07 for the next 4 days thought price had gone down 1380 only 460 each for 2 weeks at belcekiz thats really good
