Glad you are all enjoying the film and is sure to win more awards, I have yet to see it :cry . Hope it is a good portrayal of the book, and not just loosely based on it. The book was mentioned on the books on India thread, as being a good read ,two years ago :(
The authors new book, athough very different is also worth a read

Saw this at the cinema last night. Scared my girlfriend a little (who is coming with me to goa in feb).
I knew horrible things went on with regards to the children begging but too see it on the big screen was horrible.
It'll certainly make you think twice when you see the little children begging on the beach. That's why they don't want food when you offer that instead of rupee's.

I thought the film was amazing too, a true representation I thought, of how it is in India, from the policing to the mafia....great stuff!!

to people regarding the treatment of the children though it could put some people off
travelling to India if they watch it.thought it was brillianty acted and very well made, liked the toilet scene best

We bought it on the beach today for 100 rps the quality of the film on your DVD is excellent. but dont buy from the young boys around 8?9 years of age as they are selling the correct DVD covers with a blank DVD inside.
