Hi,everyone so sorry it has taken me soooo long to write about my glorious week at st georges,I am about to leave a holiday review,on the review page. All i have got to say you wont be disapointed I went in feb and was it hot it did not go below 90 any day,the pools were so heated it was like bath water, the food was lovely, alot of choice, but we was only there a week,if there is anything I have got to grumble about it was st georges private beach it was a little dissapointing, but on the whole it was a great holiday,we all did get a bit of a dodgy belly the last day or two of our hols, luckily it was at the end of our week, and we was carefull on what we ate,I think alot of people had a bit of a delly belly some worse than others.Luckily none of us got bitten by the mozzies but alot of people was walking around covered in then, one fella was told by the doctor he couldnt go out in the sun,so be very carefull just take precautions.I will leave more of an in depth report on the reveiw page.
Glad to see you had a good time
Just wondering if one has been this year to this hotel and would kindly answer a few
questions... I have read to use the gym you have to pay that ain't a problem but how much? have
tried emailing hotel but have not had no reply...
As well as the normal 3 meals..breakfast/lunch/dinner..what time are snacks served?
Thanks
has anyone been out there recently ?? what kind of weather did you have and
is there anything we should watch out for or avoid ??
Really looking forward to this hotel.
We went in August and had a fab time..just ask if you need any help..with rooms...food...etc...
well jimmy enjoy me and wife dont go back until july was bad enough may last year it was 42 in the shade and 52 in the sun so hot hot hot. march 2009 year before and it was 28 to 36 degrees mind guys email them before you go and ask what location you would like your room they will make sure you are acomadated...noisy pool quite pool area i personaly prefer the quite pool side room 1036 or there abouts thats lower level with patio doors leading straight out to pool
At the moment we are sitting in a bar in Grand Canaria. Very Late booking.
A bit cloudy but 74F. 81F yesterday.
thats nice jimmy sitting at home -4 you just has to rub it in he he. anyway excersion look up sharm club and book all your trips through them they are the cheapest and you can book before you go but dont pay anything until you arrive just get hotel to call them to let them you room number. if you want to know any good excersion let me know i have done them all when i go back in july just gonna have a relaxing time. (ps dont do mount sinia) it killed me walking up a hill for 4 hours in pitch black with a cheap and nasty torch toilets on way up just think film slumdog millionare at top its ramshackled huts selling drinks you see sun rise and walk back down.
Just e-mailed the hotel GlasgowX regarding the room allocation. I'll let you know results mate.
3 weeks today.
Glasgow X, I'm looking through the forum here and nothing is mentioned about internet access.
well enjoy jimmy as i have 6 months to wait for my return but looking forward to it just another hint if you get inticed into a shop and it sells perfume,s and they try and be hospitable asking you to sit down and stuff dont walk straight back out they can try and get really offensive and use bully tatics but its show to make you buy dont fall for it just walk away . remeber what ever the cost of the item half it take off 5 and dont budge walk away you will get it for it . i do know the price of tobacco had went up since my first visit 2 years ago so 200 l&m,s are around £7.50p in our money out and about in markets and shops. as a fellow scot like myself the whisky in the hotel is rank the brandy is fine and so is the vodka . p.s remeber jump into pounland a buy plastic pint tumbler its about 20 for £1 take them with you . also get your mosi stuff in there aswell for £1 it works a treat.
glasgowkiss ... funny you should say that about the plastic glasses .. when i was at SG3C a few years ago there were a few guys doing the exact same thing .. i didnt even think about doing that but will defo be doing it when i go to Sharm in July ?? thanks for remindin me ... ( im also from Glasgow LOL!!)
he jimmy they do have internet access you can either use there pc in the lobby think it about £2 for 30 mins or you can buy wirleless access think it about £3 for 4 hours or summit like that . will be taking my laptop with me this time as will just be hangong around hotel and beach this time as done evrything and kkn2003 yeh can be bit of pain jumping up and down to bar at pool if you only got the small cups one mouthful and you way up for another. only thing is with pints drink fast as it will get warm lol
glasgowkiss wrote:£3 for 4 hours or summit like that
That's fair play, if it is 4hrs on a "pay as you go" I was on the understanding that the internet was free at SG3C?
yep it payg only good thing about it is that the wife wont miss eastenders when we away lol
