I am a 1st timer to Turkey and will be travelling to the St Nicholas Park appts in Hisaronu on 22nd August for two weeks - travelling with my better half and two kids aged 10 and 5.

I have read the reports about the hotel and resort on this site and others, but would appreciate any further info, especially about the hotel if any one has any recent experience of staying there.

I know there is no kids club and no regular evening entertainment at the hotel - is there much to keep the kids occupied?

Can anyone recommend some pubs/restauarnts that are particularly good for evenings with the nippers and good for eating in generally? :)

There are plenty of different kinds of restaurants in Hisaronu. Turkish,English,Chinese and Indian and of course a couple of Fish and Chip shops.
Enough choice for everybody.

Cant help on entertaining the kids but Iam sure they will not be bored, they will be made welcome in all of the restaurants.

Beaver 27, lovely hotel at the top of a hill, going down the hill in Aug is fine lots of pine shade cover - going up hill - er choose your moments not mid day without water! As you walk down you will pass the Hotel Telemessos and the Marcan (sister hotels) then you know you have reached the high street as it were at the bottom cos you can see the Rover Return Restaurant- don't be put off by the name! Turn left and the world is your oyster theres the Santana Steak Restaurant and loads of others it really comes alive after 10pm. Unfortunately a very long time ago , our first time in Turkey we spent so much time doing excursions and such like during the day we had no idea of the resorts 'alter image' come 10pm. There is something for everyone, I don't know if they still do Turkish nights at that hotel but I can remember going to a hysterical one, there was a dance and a fella was meant to be a swooping bird picking up prey- well he picked up a blonde wig with his mouth and my lot lost it big time :!: :!: :lol: :lol: :lol: Enjoy i know you will without a doubt :D

Cheers Ron and Apollo - does anyone know if the jeep safari's around Hisaronu are suitable for a five year old?

We have taken our grandchildren on jeep safaris and they have enjoyed it. Points to bear in mind are;

It is a long day.
There are frequent stops but there are some long driving stretches.
Open top jeeps could cause a sun exposure problem.

:D Got back on Monday night from another fabulous holiday at St Nicks. This was our second year at this hotel and again we couldnt fault a thing. Staff were fantastic, nothing too much trouble for them. Just so sad and depressed to be back home. Anyone know if the little dog is still wandering around the hotel. She is so sweet and everyone was feeding her and talking about bringing her back to this country but nobody knew how to go about it. She will be lost when all the holidaymakers go home and nobody feeds her. My husband doesnt want to go back next year as he wants to try a different country. Myself and my daughters all want to return, so just wondering if anyone knows whether you can get a divorce on the grounds of not wanting to return to Turkey :!: :?: Anyone going to this hotel will have a lovely time and I am very jealous because I want to be there NOW!!

it would pay to take a couple of cardi evening temp about 13-15 deg
but you can never be sure the weather can change very rapidly there but its cheap enough to buy a small jacket if you need to for the hubby then get him to take you into fethiye and buy a nice coat from the leather shops lol
