Van...I thought we had gremlins when I tried to review my last post
I lost 2lbs!!!! It just shows that you can follow the same eating regime and one week lose 0.5lb and the next 2lbs. That's a message to anyone keeping to the plan and not seeing your money's worth. Just keep plugging on and you will see a loss.
Me too!!! - 2lbs this week, only 1/2 lb last week, didn't do anything different!!! Only 2.5 lbs til target, wonder if i'll do it for next week?

Didnt weigh this week. Have had a sore throat and stinking cold and just couldnt face seeing the scales. Have been trying hard so hopefully when I go next week, it will be positive. My consultant starts her maternity leave next week so its her last class until the new year and its "party night". Should be fun :). Not going to the christmas eve and new year's eve classes but I am going to be really good apart from christmas day and of course, new year's eve! Best laid plans but im determined to reach my 4 stone target before the end of February when I have been following the slimming world plan for a year. Only 4½lbs to go but it seems a million miles away at the moment what with christmas just around the corner :roll:.

Its very quiet here at the moment. Everyone must be off christmas shopping.
Weighed last night and ive gone up another ½lb :yikes. Definately going in the wrong direction at the moment. Its the mince pies that have done it for me and it would be rude not to eat one when they're offered, dont you think?
Going to try and have a positive week. If I can get a couple of lbs off this week then I wont feel so guilty over christmas eating, drinking and trying to be merry :).

Hi all, Maintained again this week - don't think I'll ever get to target ( 2.5lbs away). Oh well. I'm going to be good until xmas day and then worry about it in the New Year !!!!
Well, I'll be rejoining this thread 7th Janouary. Just had our 6th Chrimbo bash last night! Put some jeans on I ain't had on for a few weeks and had to lie on the bed to get the zip up .................and there's still Christmas and New Year celebrations yet. Oh well, thank god leggings are fashionable again.

I will also be back on 1st January with my diet book out, my backside half in and half out of my too small jeans and trying to pretend that my dry cracker bread is actually a really large bar of chocolate!

Well 1 more day of over indulging and that's it
Was quite good during the week after Christmas day, weighed myself on Friday and had stayed the same, come Sunday 3lbs on it had eventually caught up. - we weighed in on 23rd and was due to weigh in last night but booked it as a holiday.
Still got quite a lot of chocs, cheese, nuts left it is either eat everything today or use them as syns. Not back at work until next Tuesday so disipline is my top priority this week.
Have a brilliant New Years eve everyone however you spend it. We are off to friends for a buffet, drinks and a game two of poker.
This site will be red hot over the next few days, weeks and months.

Well done to those of you who have braved the scales . I cant bring myself to do it but judging by the state of my jeans at the moment, it wont be pretty. Its been so worth it though :oops:. How easy is it to go back to eating, drinking and enjoying all the rubbish though?
My diet starts again on Wednesday and im so looking forward to a cooked lunch with all the trimmings including cauli cheese (my absolute favourite dish :D) on New Year's Day. After that its back to being VERY strict with myself and hopefully I can lose a couple of lbs for the big weigh in next Tuesday 7th. Fingers (and toes) crossed.

I had forgotten about our New Years Day lunch - another Christmas Pud with cream so I am going to make it officially 2nd Jan as a new start and like you Sarah hope I can be a loser for next Tuesday 8th.

From the waist of my jeans, I anticipate at least 5lbs on . Im not getting stressed about it. I had already decided that the diet was on holiday for the christmas/new year period and that I would eat, drink and enjoy. Ive only myself to blame when the scales dont show all good things next week but hey, Ive lost weight before, I can and will do it again

Weighed this morning and I am 4st 1lb lighter than a year ago
I need to lose another 2 stone this year so there will be plenty of posts from me from now on

A Happy and Prosperous 2008 to you all. You have all been so helpful since I joined so glad I found this site.
2/1/08 is day 1 of my SW plan.
Put on 3lbs over the Christmas and New Year period - not bad considering. Still got loads of cheeses (going to freeze them later into 1 oz cubes), sweets, chocs and other goodies - will make sure my family enjoy them over a period of time!!!!!
I don't weigh in until next Tuesday so a whole week to get back into it good style.
Off to make Carrot soup for lunch.
Browsed through the back copies of the SW magazines last nigh for ideas so raring to go. I seem to struggle with ideas for breakfast Monday - Friday. I like cereals but don't like to use up so much of my milk allowance? Any ideas - I like different things, has to be quite quick as I leave the house at 7.30am.
