I joined SW yesterday together with 8 other newbies. There was a nice buzz in the class.
To lose 10% of my current bodyweight, I have to shift 18 lbs. When I have been on healthy eating plans before, I find the first 10 lbs easy as it is mainly water I lose but everything after that is difficult. So far, I have lost 1 lb. Hopefully, by my first weigh in I would have lost at least 3 lbs.
What I do find difficult is having to plan ahead so that you keep to the same plan all day. Yesterday was a green day and today is a red.
I like this eating plan as you do very little weighing not like some other eating plans. Having to weigh things becomes a bit of a faff in the end.
It was nice having egg, bacon and sausage for breakfast this morning, although I do feel a bit queasy.
3lb off for me today It does help to write down everything as you eat it. It's so easy to mindlessly shove stuff in your gob without thinking. How are others doing?
well just started my diet on tues and seem to be eating all the time and still not using up all my points,i suppose im being strict at the mo so everything im eating is low fat and low sugar so not adding up to to many points
That's good ndS. If you fill up on free foods or very low points/calories you should get a good result next week.
Back on SW with evengance this week , having acquired 5lb during the festivities.
I know this is only day 2 of the SW healthy eating plan, but I have felt very tired and wobbly all day.
Well after ditching all the sugary junk and the first day back on the SW plan I had breakfast and by 10am I was feeling the same Sydney. I think your body is craving a sugar rush and maybe you are feeling a bit hypo? Just a theory of mine. Anyway ,I made sure I had some fruit and a yogurt and I felt better. Maybe you need to eat a bit more but slow burning food.
I work in a pizza restaurant and worked last night but only had chicken salad.... hope i dont give in and eat something i shouldn't
I joined Weight Watchers on Wednesday after finally admitting to myself that I needed to lose a 'little' (LOL) bit of weight
The Core Plan seemed the ideal option, are there any forum members who can share some tips on how to achieve my goal and help me not fall off the wagon....again
i joined ww on tues and am starting with the points bit first and might swop next week... the core plan is a bit like slimming world which i did 8 years ago and i lost a stone... but now i need to lose 2 stones and this is only the second time i have tried a diet plan so thought i would give weight watchers a try.Like any diet it works for as long as you do it.I think the key is to look for different foods to eat... not the same every week

Have had an 'up and down' week.
Back on plan on Wednesday but towards the end of each day I just seem to go 'off track' Might be something to do with too many of the families goodies around and I went back to work on Tuesday.
Hoping for a good weekend
I may be on a for your support.
Speak soon.
Irene
I kind of bottled out of weighing this week . I did have a valid excuse - my daughter hasnt been very well, but I suppose I could have got someone to babysit and made the effort to go, if I had really tried .
I have been doing my best to stay on the SW plan this week though but finding it hard to keep it up all day and night. Husband comes home from work and I cave in and eat biscuits. Dont ask me why, husband's not eating them at the same time! I think one of the major things is that I hadnt been shopping properly since just before christmas, so I didnt have any good foods to diet with. Been shopping now. Stocked up on plenty of fruit, veg, pasta and lean meat etc and am looking to getting back on the right track from this week onward.
I will check back and let you all know how it goes Tuesday. Hopefully not too bad so fingers crossed!
Nice to see some new faces [names]. As for support, I think popping on this thread every few days is a big help. Its great to know that so many others are in the same boat as you and feeling the same way you do.

Been doing really well this week but fallen a bit today... went out for a pub lunch with hubby and had 2 glasses of wine which got me going and now ive opened a bottle at home... but its just one day and back in the saddle tommorow
It seems that all of my days this week I have fallen off the wagon!!!
Just making a recipe from the SW magazine - fancied pasta tonight only thing is as a veggie I think I am making my portions too big unlimited rice, pasta etc - any tips? Also just read on another site that people seems to lose less when following the green days?
Irene
But i have heard ppl say they lost more on red but meat isnt really my thing and found green days better for me.
ww do a similar thing now but im gonna stick to points till i get really bored then swap
Irene...some people are carb sensitive and find it hard to lose weight on green days. I find this. However, if I avoid, rice. pasta and white potatoes and instead go for couscous, veggies and sweet potato I have a better loss. Also I have heard that if you still want to eat the starchy carbs above, drink plenty of water. Oh yes, and don't eat bananas every day !
just come back from bowling with the kids. we had 3 games and i have lost 5lbs,,just bought some scales today so weighed myself. just been on and i have deff lost all that. mind it has cost me £40 for bowling and another £30 for spends for them..but worth it..
Thanks for your replys.
Don't drink enough water so will start drinking more. Will try and cut down and do more veggies including sweet potato (any ideas welcome).
Thanks
Irene
well my tip for the day is butternut squash... fils you up but no points on ww... just bake half of it and serve
Yes I like butternut squash. I use it in casseroles and tagines. The only think I hate is peeling it
