Hello all :wave
I did it, I went and got myself weighed. Guess what? I lost, yes lost, 5.5lbs. I am in total shock :shock: I cant believe it.

Ive always been one of those people who eat when they are stressed or depressed and pile on the lbs. I guess that this time its worked the other way. I have been ill as well and there is always the risk that I can put some weight on next week but hey, I feel really pleased about it :D Something to cheer me up.

Christmas is only around the corner and I am now only 2.5lbs away from my target. I have lost (almost) 4 stone since the end of February by eating healthy and eating plenty. Slimming World has been great and so has the support of all you guys. Thank you so much.

Heres to a good week :glynis and brilliant weight losses all round :D

So sorry to hear about your Nan, so doubly well done!!!

I lost 3lbs and got my 1 stone award. I can't believe I've lost a stone in 4

weeks and never felt hungry. !!!! It's a fab diet. Good luck to everyone

This week I lost 3.5lb and got my first 1/2 stone award now I've only got 3 more 1/2 stones to go :lol:

Haven't been on here for a while..have been concentrating on being a loser!
Today I am well pleased with myself..I have finally managed to lose my first stone!!! 2 more to go.

I am off to Hurghada scuba diving in a couple of weeks and those wet suits are less than flattering so I am hoping to try and shift another half stone.

Any tips? I lost the stone in about 5 weeks.

Well done peeps. I lost 1.5lbs at weigh in today. I have still been doing my walking but it's getting mighty chilly out there. I only really have time first thing in the morning and that's when it's coldest !!!
I made a big pan of lentil curry last week and froze it into individyual portions so that's what I shall have tonight.
How about everyone else? What's on the menu this week?

For me..noodles, noodles and more noodles.
Low in fat and i mix them with chicken/prawns and salad with the tiniest hint of dressing. I have eaten noodles almost every day for a month. Getting a little fed up of them now tho..but they have worked.

hi all well i lost 1 and a half lbs so i need another half a lb off then i have reached my stone award!!! have been eating jacket potatoes by the bucket!!! and lots of batchelors rice all free on a green day. lindsay

I make soup with Batchelors rice and a veg stew pack very filling.

Just saying hi - had a few "issues" of late so haven't been posting. Still stuck at the 4stone mark - need to lose this last one soonish or I think I will lose the motivation

You stick in there 4 stone is an amazing weight lose. I know its hard trying to keep focused on diets when you have other things to worry about.

green tea and Boots alternative diet aid.Has any forum members tried either or both to help speed up weight loss?
I have used both for the last 2 months and lost half stone,however I have stuck for 3 weeks and wonder if the the body becomes immune to these after a while(I do also follow a low fat diet) any hints girls?

jackie15 try taking them for 2 months then have a break for 1 month and see if this works as it works for me with the supplements i get to stop me from getting coldsores. the lady in holland and barratts explained to me that all vitamins and supplements should be taken this way to stop the body from getting used to them. hope this helps and works!!!! lindsay

Evening all. I have to go to a 5.30pm weigh in this week as I can't make my usual morning meeting. Yikes !!! Deffo won't have lost this week.

Can't work out why I'm not getting notification of replies on this thread despite ticking the box in my profile. I pop in and find you've all been gabbing without me noticing :lol:

Now, I got an email notification this time. :roll: Perhaps the cyber gremlins have been defeated :lol:

I'm off to make a Morrocan vegetable tagine that I have a recipe for. I think I cut it out of the Daily Mail some time ago. Very few syns.It uses butternut squash and Harissa paste and prunes!!! :shock: I've made it once before and it was lovely.You put a few toasted flaked almonds on the top and serve with couscous.

I actually prefer couscous to rice. I recently bought some different drums of couscous seasoning from Tesco.You just add a couple of teaspoons to the dry couscous before making it up. Something different for a change although I'm sure you could put your own spices in.

:wave all. Have had a bit of a dodgy week and so there was no surprises when I weighed tonight and found out that I have put on 2lb :oops: I know the exact slice of cake that done it :wink: Well, it was my daughter's 4th birthday and she had two birthday parties ( :) we have a very big family) so it was double the amount of party food and birthday cake! And a very good reason to celebrate and forget our troubles.

Going to get serious now though. I really want to hit that 4 stone mark before Christmas and treat myself to a nice dress which is something I haven't worn in years. Ive also treated myself to SW's 100 Comfort Foods recipe book so hopefully can find some inspiration there. Fingers crossed :D
