Hi Sarah
I have had another good day today on SW and tonights meal is Tandoori Quorn which I made this morning at 7am and has been marinading all day.
There are still some 'goodies' around but I have resisted temptation and hopefully I can do the same over the weekend which is my downfall normally.
I actually use my syns for a glass or 2 of wine at the weekends and am just going to chill my bottle of Rose for later.
I like Ibiza, we had a lovely holiday to Santa Eulalia a few years ago, lucky you in a villa.
Have a good weekend and good luck for Monday.
Irene
Have had a good week on SW since Wednesday. I didn't go to WI on Tuesday as I felt rotten - headache, bloated etc and then the munchies so it was the TOTM - weighed myself at home and STS.
Have had a busy week at work so this always helps, going to keep myself busy today with the 'norm' - Housework, Washing etc.
Making a spicy Thai Butternut squash soup for lunch not yet decided what to have tonight - probably a curry.
Hope we are all going to lose a few pounds at next WI>
Have a good weekend.
Irene
Hope your feeling a bit better.
I went to my first weigh in on Tuesday and the weight gain though not unexpected was still a bit of a shock. I still firmly believe that a good portion of that gain was my food and drink consumption over christmas though (thats my excuse and im sticking to it ).
Have had a really good week so far but today has been very awkward as we had a party to go to and it was all finger food and nibbles, mostly onion bhajis, samosas and mini chocolate eclairs - all things I really enjoy. I did save my syns from the last few days and using my flexible syns will help. I did my best though and will follow the plan for the rest of the week and hopefully have a good result on Tuesday.
Hope you have a good weekend.
Sarah
I cannot believe how much I have been kidding myself all these years. So, I have been walking more (either doing more housework, dog walking and jogging on my mini trampoline).
I have ordered a digital pedometer off of the net because they are meant to be more accurate. The one I have at the moment registers a step even if you bend over to pick something up, so you don't really get a true idea of how many steps you take.
I am also exercising portion control and doing what Paul McKenna suggests, in that by eating slowly and appreciating each mouthful, you listen to your body when it says you are full.
Well it's the holiday diet countdown, and after trying every diet under the sun over the last few years ( and failing miserably) I've decided to calorie count and do you know, in two weeks I have lost half a stone, which is more than I have lost in a month on other diets. I now only need to lose a stone. If I get to my target, I'll keep going a bit.
I'm getting married in May in Cyprus and went to try my dress on yesterday and was mortified at how tight it was ( I was measured up in the summer when I'd lost weight for my holiday) so hopefully it will be perfect by the time I've lost the stone as that was what I weighed first try.
Good luck everyone and will talk again next week.
Went SW tonight to be weighed. I lost 4.5lbs. Very happy with that . I treated myself to a Hifi bar, the new lemon one. Would definately recommend it, it was delicious.
Im really looking forward to the coming week(s) now. Feeling really positive and enjoying my food and the plan. Its nice to be feeling good about this diet lark
Good luck everyone.
Sarah
Nice to see some 'old' names on here.
Hope everyone is having a good week - well I was a happy bunny last night went to class and lost 3lb I am now llb over my target weight so aiming to get back into target range next week and take it from there.

Irene
Well I am back!! Went to weigh in last night after my 6 week holiday, wedding and honeymoon. Was dreading it as ate everything and anything I wanted whilst we were away. Put 3lb on over 6 weeks so am so chuffed!! Back on it today though!!
Only 3lb Thats brilliant. I put on half a stone just over christmas and new year . Well done. Hope you had a fab time and made plenty of memories.

I too have been on every diet under the sun. I'm a lifetime member of Weightwatchers and also got to goal with Slimming World too. But now I'm fatter than I've ever been and would like to lose 2 1/2 stones. The trouble I find is that when you've been doing it for so long you don't really have bad habits as such eg eating between meals, sweets etc. I 've been watching Paul McKenna but it seems to be aimed at people who just eat and eat and eat. If you only eat small portions anyway there's not much he says that will help. I'm hoping he might have some more ideas on forthcoming episodes. Does anyone think the same?
Stayed the same this week, havn't lost anything but is is that time of the month.
Oh well, much as I feel like giving up, i wont. Hopefully have an amazing loss next week and get slimmer of the week!
Good luck all.
Sarah
Hang in there everyone.
Now it has to go
Irene - I note you are veggie. I have been for the past year - please could I ask for some ideas from your 14 day plan (eat most things except quorn) as you seem to be doing well on it. I like to plan infront and have bought books and scoured the internet for different recipes and now putting together ideas for coming meals. That stone has to go even at 1lb a week.
Another pound off, 12 more to go. 15 weeks till my holidays .
Goodluck waterproof. Be sure to check in with how your getting on.
I weigh again tomorrow so ive got my fingers crossed that its at least 1lb off. Feel slimmer and thats half the battle for me.
Sarah
I am on a summer diet too, I started 10th Jan and have lost 14.5 lbs to date. I'm starting to lose motivation now and I can never be bothered to do any exercise which is gonna slow me down :(. My target is a bit too much and unrealistic, I'm trying to shift another 2.5 stone by May. We'll see, we'll see.
Keep on slimming
I am stuck - stayed the same for the last few weeks - however when I look back this happened at the same time last year?
This week I am out at a 'leaving meal' on Friday - Indian and on Saturday it is a 40th - in a pub so hope I can choose wisely. I will have a few drinks.
Waterproof - I will put together some ideas together after the weekend if that is ok a busy couple of days ahead but half term next week so will have more time. Do you like other meat free products apart from Quorn? A lot of my ideas will include pasta/rice - is this okay? Let me know anything you don't particulary like?
Keep up the good work everyone - we will get there.
Speak soon.
Irene
Spicy, herby, tasty. Anything. Although I do not go to SW I bought their curry book last week and I am enjoying it, my new bed time reading. My hubby enjoys baking but he has been banned from making our favourite chocolate cake but I suspect it wont be long before he is back in the kitchen. Will have to hide it in the freezer.
Thanks for your help.
Back on track, must try for 2lb off for next week.
