Well done MissHighlander thats fantastic. I have been ill over BH weekend and start of this week - but it appears to have done my WW well - went to WI on Wednesday and lost 2.5lbs!! I was surprised to lose that much so far into the diet (this is my 18th week). So thats now 34.5lbs in total in 17 weeks so really want to lost that 0.5lb to make it 2.5 stone. Hopefully I will be able to lose another stone before I go away in 14 weeks.
I think the illness helped a lil bit though!! I didn't drink any alcohol over the weekend as I felt so ill, just laid on sofa under a duvet with a high temperature so I reckon I sweated out at least 1.5lbs!! And I lost my appetite a bit - and it hasn't properly recovered yet!! I am sure it will come back eventually but I usually have a really sweet tooth but can't stand anything sweet at all at the moment - which is good for my diet!!!

Hope you have all had a good week?

Started a diet yesterday ( I put back on the stone i lost before :cry )

We are going to the Maldives in March 09 and I want to lose at least 2 stone before then so I don't look like a heiffer on steriods while I am there.

Thing is.. I am never hungry at breakfast but a couple of hours later I am starving and end up eating summat daft like a scotch egg..not good I know.
Yesterday I was really good start..just a haslet and salad sandwich for lunch ( no mayo) and a jacket spud with cottage cheese for tea.
I also had 1 apple and 1 orange to munch on.

Doesn't help when all the other lasses in the office are troughing on bacon butties!

What should be my average weight lost per week?

Val you need to try and get something down you for brekkie, even if its some fruit or a smoothie, as it kick starts the metabolism. You need to eat more than you ate yesterday as well, as you're body will get used to coping with small amounts of food and your metabolism will be really slow. You'll also get bored & fed up.

Wasn't a deliberate thing to eat so little yesterday but I was so busy at work I barely had time for lunch.

I right fancy peanut butter on toast for brekkie..should be a good start.

How have you got on this week Val?

I was mortified when I got weighed last week - had put on 2lb! I think it is a case of going over my points for the past few weeks - and putting it all on in one go. Have made real effort this week - but worried about WI tomorrow as feel really heavy today and like I haven't lost anything at all. Don't know what I will do if I don't lose what I gained - or god forbid put on even more weight. Fingers crossed I will be ok - am not feeling very confident or happy about it though.

Hope you are all having a better week than me :(

Went for my WI on Tuesday night. Had a bit of a shock, I lost 4lbs. I was expecting to either to have stayed the same or put on weight, with what I was eating and drinking over the weekend. It will probably show up next Tuesday. On the previous Tuesday, I lost 1lb. So, it's now a total of 8lbs weight loss. :D Plus, I got Slimmer of the Week.

Morning all
Very quiet on this topic - so come on lets all get back to posting.
I am going back to class tonight after more than 6 weeks away - various reasons :que
I am hoping to still be within target? Going to give it 100% as it is only just over 12 weeks until Christmas. :yikes So lets come up with the ideas to help one another.
I am going to plan 7 day menus and do some outdoor exercise until the nights 'draw in' and then get out my exercise machine.
Going to set a lower target to keep me motivated.
Speak soon.

Haven't been on for ages - been very busy lately, but making one last push with my weight loss before my holidays (7 weeks and 6 days to go).

Am down to 34.5lbs lost and would like to lose another 5.5 before I go ideally taking me to a round 40lbs lost!! Have got WI tomorrow - but am not expecting a loss (definitely a gain) as had a residential training course last week so had to eat out three meals a day and missed my WI due to it. So actually quite looking forward to going this week as although I know I will have put on, I need to focus and knuckle down to it again!

:yikes

Come on you lot we have got 9 wks till Xmas and we need to shift them Ibs because they wont shift on there own and what about that little black dress :whoops yes its a bit tight ain't it, so come on you can lose 1LB a wk that over half a stone :yikes
But if you put that little more effort in you and lose 2LB a wk come on you know you can do it, and we all need to do a little bit of exercise too i know there is a lot of you out there that don't do any,as we think our busy lives like going to work and looking after the house and kids is enough but you no deep down it is not, so before you eat i want you to go up and down stairs at least 3 times then have a glass of water now you can eat your meal ok chop chop get to it and let me know how you are getting on.
those of you that have the wii fit shall we try and make a challenge every wk!!!

Good luck.

:rofl oh Pip, that really made me laugh.

Its been "what diet" for me lately. My weight seems to be staying quite steady though - up a couple of lbs, down a couple of lbs - but I know that I really must rejoin SW to get back to being really strict. I think the main problem with me is being able to afford to diet properly at the moment. Prices for basic diet foods are so high at the moment and with SW, you need to be able to buy lean meats and plenty of it for red days and to be honest, there are only so many green days that I can stomach per week. I know its a poor excuse because there are cheaper supermarkets to use but hey, got to have some standards!

My aim is to lose half a stone for christmas. If I can buckle down and do it for myself, that would be great. Im going to give myself a couple of weeks to see how it goes, if not then I will rejoin SW at the beginning of November and knowing that I will have to weigh every week might just give me the push I need to move forward.

Good luck all.

Sarah :)

Hello, hope you dont mind me intruding, but i am going to Goa in Jan, and i want to lose at least a stone, but i could do with some help.
I dont want to join slimming world, as i dont have time to attend the weekly meetings, so i am looking for an online slimming website, something like Tesco diets.

Are there any other slimming sites similar to tesco?

Also, i have heard you shouldnt eat after 7pm, but i dont finish work until 6, and by the time i have managed to get through the traffic, i dont have anything to eat until around 8pm.

Any tips for me please :)
I really appreciate it,

Nicola

I have another question :)
I am at university, so obviously i like a drink every couple of weeks, and my usual tipple is vodka and diet coke.
Is this a better drink to have rather than something like lagar?

thanks again

Also, another question :) (sorry )

It seems we eat a lot of potatoes, especially during the evening, and im pretty sure that potatoes are a carb.

We eat mash potato, chips, baby boiled potatoes.

I cant think of anything else to put with meals, and i hate pasta.
