Hi all ...
just a quick question....
Last season we went to the Sweet Chilli on a Wednesday night and watched the entertainment..( quite good)...
My wife recalls that there was an entry fee of 100 rupee per person....
Ive just been on a site and it states that the entry fee is 500 rupees....have i got it wrong or is it another over inflated price rise (like most of Goa seems to be doing these days )
Its not the price that bothers me...its the principle of it....
Oh dear they're charging ? Is that just Wednesdays ? We went in december on a Sunday night and entertainment was on then and there was no charge. Also went Xmas day and that was free. Isn't Wed night children's night ? I know it used to be. I can see us not going again if there's a 500 rupee charge.
Ive heard of Sweet Chilli but never been in it. Where is it please?
it right at the end of the main road....you can either go right to Fort Aguda or left towards the prison...go left for about 500 yards and its on your right...you cannot miss it...a big open air place.
All the taxi drivers know where it is....food very good...hugh portions.
I visited in Jan 08 on a wednesday night, reserved my table over the phone and didn't pay an entry fee unless they add 100 rupees each to the bill. I would have noticed 500 each. It was my second visit and as good as the first time
we also paid 100 rups but thats for teh entertain ment dancer, king mo mo, limbo fire dancers if its 500 its certainly gone up but worth a visit
So have we established if its 100 or 500 rupees or do you all want me to pay it a visit and find out
we went to sweet chilli on 13th feb what a shambles. We have been previously to carnival night 1st time no charge last year 100 rps each for adults and this year no charge. But on arrival our table hadn't been reserved (friends called few days previous to book) so had to wait for a table to be set up (ok no probs with this, as we are in india) but when we eventually ordered food had to wait a hour for food and some friends ordered steak only to be told 40 mins later they had 1 left. The entertainment made up for this but do feel that service isn't as good as previous visits.
I don't think anyone visits SWEET CHILLI for the food, it is passable but often slow, but the fun and entertainment make up for it
agrees with taffy its a night out and a good entertaining night the food is just ok nothing to scream about and the speed of service well its goan time is all i can say when its full their is hundreds of people so will take time.
