Thought I'd share this with you - I should call it .....
'The bath waiting for an accident to happen'.
Who the eck put a bath in this way? That shower screen did not move and I asked another guest if their bath was just the same, their reply was 'yes'!
As you can see from the photo, you had to get in at the end and walk the length of the bath to turn on the shower, and then walk the length of the bath to grab the 'grab hold' and get out.
One night I fancied a bath, well, that was novel, I had to climb in and walk to turn the taps on, then by the time I'd regulated the mixer taps, my feet were wet and again walk out if it.
The maids must have to climb in it to clean it.

Should have put the bog up in the alcove , and bath on the right hand side , move the sink over to the left and get rid of the bloody bidet , who the hell uses them anyway ?
And quite amazing....
LOL the plumbers must have had the plans the wrong way round Sanji
Many, many years ago we stayed in a hotel in Italy and in the bathroom the shower head was in the middle of the ceiling with a drain hole underneath on the floor- The problem was, that every time someone had a shower, it wet the loo, loo paper, the towels and the electric strip light and shaver socket positioned above the sink.
If my OH had gone anywhere near the electricity when having a shave, it would have made his hair curl.
Andy- I like a bidet - wish I had one at home.

I'm sure my cats would find it fascinating , if we had one !
I agree with Cyprus - utter madness
We stayed in a brand new hotel in Tenerife and every time you turned the shower on (which was above the bath), the pressure pinged the shower head off completely soaking the whole bathroom ........ also the shower screen swung both ways and was not fixed, so one night after going to the bar for a few lemonades my husband visited the toilet, enroute to bed, he leant his hand on the shower screen to stabilise himself and fell straight through the shower screen into the bath....i have never seen so much glass, i was soo mad with him that i slept in the spare bed and left him to tend his wounds.
Dinner-lady. That's so funny. Just read it to my hubby and we've both been creased over with laughter. Can just picture it.

It is funny now ...but I was so mad with him. Poor love he had little cuts all over his head and neck and the only plasters I had were kiddies plasters. He looked really special the next morning with his plasters on.
I would image it was far from funny at the time, but it is the type of thing you'd seen in old comedy sketches.....Dam dangerous, just like that bath - I've had another thought- how can you bath kiddies in that bath?
Dinnerlady- I could just picture the scene
always thought afterwards I should have taken photos for future bribary

That must have been quite scary . Sounds like the sort of thing that might happen to me and by hubbie.
We have seen some dodgy plumbing in the past as well, but nothing that bad.
...and the maid climbs in to clean it ??..I think not....hate to think what will be growing behind the taps
You'd think by now they'd be aware of the problem & fix it............
I stayed at the Hotel Taurus Park in Pineda, and my bathroom was almost a duplicate of this Sanji - in fact I asked the reception for a rubber mat because I felt so unsure on my feel getting in and out that I thought I might slip.

Good decision Miss Pink as apart from your own safety you are highlighting the problem to the hotel

A good move Miss Pink.
IMO: They must be aware of the problem, I think that grab handle was installed as an after thought - probably after having a load of complaints.

Yep, I would image so - it needs what Andy suggested - all ripping out and re-arranging.
Somehow I can't see that happening for a number of years.

Does the hotel feature in any UK travel brochures Sanji as I'd have thought they'd have made the hotel fix the problem due to health and safety issues?
