We're going to have to make a decision as to whether we want to risk being separated and not pre book our seats, holding out for the upgrade to be available or cutting our losses and booking in economy which we don't want


I wanted to do the same but you cannot book premium outbound because of something to do with the tax TC have to pay on it,the premium outbound will only be given at the airport and not with prebooked tickets i hope this helped a little

Ps it wont be the premium package just a little extra room and thats it no different meals or free drinks though

Thomas Cooks are reintroducing a premium service. At the moment the full package isn't available online, so have to book the outbound upgrade direct with the airline, and the inbound direct with your travel agent. As long as you book the inbound upgrade you will get the increased luggage allowance for both flights.

They are struggling with the Cuba premium at the moment, due to Cuba being on a different system for managing bookings.

Thomas cook have today sent us a holiday voucher for £1,086 for a previous long haul flight delay. Does anyone know if this the only way they will refund or will they send a cheque if requested instead? Thanks

Not yet, I'm trying to find out what the guidelines are so when I do contact them, I know if they are trying to fob me off or not. We still want to use it for a holiday, but we prefer to go with Thomsons as the flights are more reliable and their long haul service significantly better.

If it's EU delay compensation you are entitled to receive it as a cheque.

"3. The compensation referred to in paragraph 1 shall be paid in cash, by electronic bank transfer, bank orders or bank cheques or, with the signed agreement of the passenger, in travel vouchers and/or other services."

Just a quick update on my previous post, I called Thomas Cook today and they have agreed to issue a cheque instead.

hi all just a quick question, I fly to Vegas in April and have per booked my 2 seats together in row h and g which according to fly thomascook.com are sat together but I have seen another seat plan for this plane and it says that g and h are separated by an aisle. Can anyone confirm?

G/H are together. Which seatplan have you been looking at?

On bing seating diagram for an a332 it says that it's a 2 4 2 seating plan yet on flythomas cook its a 3/4/3 seating plan. I would take the Thomas cook one hopefully

You'll find seat plans for all Thomas Cook aircraft on our What Aircraft? guide (link below). The seat plan you're looking at is incorrect for Thomas Cook, you're looking at a generic seat plan rather than TCX's. TCX A332's are configured more densely than the standard scheduled configured aircraft. TCX's are 3-3-3, not 2-4-2. As Sunaddict corrected says, G/H are together on the starboard column of seats. The seat plan is A/B/C-D/E/F-G/H/J in economy, other than the rear few rows and the forwward cabin.

Thanks for that. Thought it was strange but when you go into TC they don't want to help as I booked my holiday on the net through TC they just tell me to ring customer services.. Not even one on the holiday but wishing I had booked with Virgin due to bed customer service!

I'm flying from Stansted to Enfidha with TC on 13th April and the ticket says to check in 3 hours before for international flights. It has always been 2 hours, which should be more than adequate with on-line check in so is there any real need for this? It is a while since I flew with TC so can anyone remind me whether there is an option to choose my seat when I book in? I have no intention of paying to choose a seat at some earlier stage.

Last time I flew with TCX in April 2012, seating was pre-allocated, no choosing at checkin.
Choice only possible by paying for it prior to the date of flight.

Thanks, I thought that was probably the case, I'll have to keep my fingers crossed for a window seat - not for the view but to stop my arm being knocked by fellow passengers or crew, as I have a metal plate in the elbow and one screw presses on the skin. :roll:

Hi All,
Just a quick one as I am a little bit confused!
We have booked to go to Tunisia on the 3rd April 2013 from Birmingham (txc4028) but there are 2 different departure times.
Our tickets say 5:25 am and then the websites say 6:25. I was just wondering if you have the correct times or an explanation?I think we are flying on a 757 if that makes any difference?

It may be because they have forgotten about our clocks going forward before then, putting us on the same time as Tunisa. If so it won't be the first time they've got it wrong, as I had a similar situation with them some years ago, but then it was the return time they got wrong. According to their timings we would have taken 4 hours to get there but 2 hours to get back. :roll: See what time they say you arrrive in Tunisia. The flight is just under 3 hours from London and presumably a bit more from Birmingham.

BHX-NBE-BHX (TCX4028/9) are indeed operated by Boeing 757-200. The departure time on the system is showing 05:25 at the moment.
