britabroad,

BHX-TFS-BHX (TOM7718/9) are operated by a Boeing 737-800. All aircraft have IFE onboard apart from the smaller Boeing 737-300. If you're going for 2 weeks and returning on 7th November, flights are operated by the larger Boeing 757-200 from then onwards. You'll find further aircraft informatin on our What Aircraft? guide (link below).

From my previous post....

We're booked for 17/10 on the Manchester -Cancun flight and am hoping
someone could let us know exactly which type of A/c is on the route?

As we're a bit closer to the time can anyone advise on
if it's going to the an ex FC aircraft or a Thomson one
given there must be some major juggling going on given
the Sunday bump / incident at Bristol.

I know that the high density 767-300er 328 seat version was possibly
going to be utilised on some LH routes and am hoping that, given
we've allowed ourselves an upgrade, ours isn't one of them.

As usual, any help appreciated.

regards

applebyd,

Please quote your flight numbers when requesting aircraft information as there are several flight to Cancun. TOM174/5 are operated by a former First Choice aircraft (B763) normally.

I noticed in previous posts Thomson flights going to BGI.

Can these flights be booked direct with Thomson and if so what is the cost and do they fly out of any of the London airports?

Sorry should have said it's TOM 144 out and 145 back on the 31st.

From the previous query I know it's normally the ex FC 767, however, given they
are now a LH 767 down for a while due to Brisol I'm hoping
the equipment isn't going to change.

Thanks again.

Given that G-OOBK is out of action is it likely that my flights (TOM048/49) on 03/11 from Gatwick to Samana will change?

Hello

I am on the BHX-TFS TOM7272 (1550 dep) on 12th Oct. As far as i'm aware it's a 752 that's operating, do you know which a/c will be operating the route and where it comes in from? Also, if you could provide the same info for the return on the 19th Oct which will be the TOM7273 TFS-BHX I would really appreciate it.

Regards, Adam.

Mark,

They are cruise charters so you can't book them with Thomson as far as I know.

Adam.A,

There's a 1 in 5 chance of a change at present. I've still not heard how serious the damage is, but for the time being at least, some flights will be effected. Some aircraft will be reconfigured towards the end of this month for the winter long haul season so I wouldn't worry too much at this stage.

Misteradam,

We won't know the actual aircraft until the day before. TOM operate a large fleet of 752's and rotate them regularly for maintenance and scheduling reasons. They're all basically the same inside other than the seat design so it makes little difference. Your return flight is operated by the same aircraft as the outbound flight, ie it operated BHX-TFS-BHX. The flight before yours comes in from Alicante (TOM7214/5) or Palma (TOM7226/7).

Hi Darren

Have I made a mistake booking 2E, F & G on TOM071 ? Is this the row with the bulkhead or is there a row in front, I can't work it out from the seat plans, bit worried about legroom now :duh

Cheers for all your helpful info.

WATB,

Seating is personal preference. Only you can decide if those are seats you like or not. There's plenty of room behind the bulkhead, but some find they can't strech their legs out as much like you can with having room under the seat in front. Most find they have plenty of room though. Assuming you have a V2 configred ex-FCA B763, row 2 is the second row of outer seats in premium. Row 2 is the first row on the V1 aircraft (and ex-Thomsonfly). As to which you get on the day, that's anyones guess at this stage!

I'm guessing the reply is the same as the one to Adam!
Although I must admit I hope we don't acquire the High density config!

3 months until G-OOBK is back considering it had a similar problem a few years back I believe we are very lucky damage wasn't worse.

You will be on a 767, however as to either ex-FC/Tfly You don't mention what date you are travelling, CWL-BGI is a mixture during the winter mainly ex-FCA for P&O however there are variations on certain days. There are not any EMA-CWL-BGI patterns scheduled If you give me a date I will be able to narrow the aircraft and where it should be flown in from before your flight. It will come into CWL empty.

Hi i forgot to mention it's going Cardiff to Barbados out on the 26 nov Tom 194 and landing in cardiff on the 11 Dec tom 195 and it is direct from cardiff any infomation would be great thanks

Hi Darren,
Have just been informed TOM046 from LGW to SFB tomorrow has no premium cabin but we will still receive the premium service. I had pre-booked 1c & d but have now been informed we will be somewhere in the first 14 rows. Can you advise which ones will offer more legroom as my hubby is very tall & doesn't fit in the normal seats (tried that coming home from Kenya) & all the extra legroom seats are already gone. I'm presuming it's the 283 seating configuration for tomorrow?

Thanks :)

gobofraggle,

it will be the 328 767 that operates tomorrows flight, to be honest you could request row 15, 17 a/b/g/h they can seat you in one of those seats and still offer the premium service. alternatively ask for a middle row of four seats between the two(assuming theres 2 of you) of you, at least then he can sit sidewards.
