Thanks for such a quick reply. I think I will ring up to be on the safe side. Do you per chance know how much it is for the route from glasgow to sharm? So if i want a window seat, how do i go about this?
Steph
It's £5 per seat to pre-select so £10 return. Just give them a call and say you want to select your seat. Make sure you have your booking reference and flight details to hand. Window seats are A and F (seating across the aircraft is A / B / C - D / E / F). GowerL7 gave you the link to the seating plan.

Thanks for the quick reply
I've ordered a meal on flight and you aid thats towards the front. Are there any seats you would recommend for being able to get a decent view of the monitors, as i think they will just be overhead yeah?! Sorry for so many questions but do you know how much it is likely to be for the extra leg rooms seats? Do the extra room seats have a window?
Do you know if thomson airways allow phones on flight mode whilst in the air,
as i have all of my songs on my phone and haven't got an MP3,
Thanks
Aircraft routings tend to be as direct as possible to minimise the flight time and therefore fuel burn. It's not as simple as that because there are rules on where aircraft can fly and procedues to adhere to, but most flights are pretty direct. Phones with flight mode will open a can of worms! I'll refer you to the long discussion on the Mobile Phones onboard planes thread from a while back! They didn't used to allow any phones to be switched on during a flight whether it had a flight safe mode or not. That's because cabin crew don't know every model of phone and wouldn't be able to tell if it was active or not. My feeling is that should be adhered to, but that's only my opinion. They are slowly allowing phones with flight safe modes to be used inflight. But you really must make sure it's in flight safe mode to ensure there's no risk to aircraft systems and if asked to prove it, show cabin crew. If asked to switch it off, you must do so. Listen to the safety briefing before take off for current information, many will still state mobile phones must be switched off 'including those with flight safe mode'.

Those with meals are allocated seats at the front to keep everyone together. This makes it easier for cabin crew to distribute meals. Screens are every 4 or so rows so you'll get to see a screen from pretty much any seat. I prefer to be 2 rows back from the screen as it's at a nice angle, but that's just me. Seating is personal preference. Extra legroom seats are on rows 12 and 32. There's limited window views on these rows. Answers to some of your questions are on our What Aircraft? thread.

This has probably been asked before. But we're going to Dom Rep on June 1st, flight TOM038. What meals do we get on there, will be a breakfast and lunch?
Gemma
As your flight is scheduled to depart at 1030, you'll get lunch served about 2 hours after take off followed by a light snack about 90 minutes before landing. On your return flight, you'll get an evening meal followed by a light (continental) breakfast.
Darren
Thanks for the information Darren. We'll be getting to the airport pretty early, the plan is have breakfast there. I just was just curious about the airplane meals.
Anyone know how it works when you have kids in tow in the premium cabin? What i mean is do they stick you at the front? we have one of 5 and one of 2. We are on TOM038
Thanks
It won't make a difference really, seats are allocated as normal. You'll be travelling on a former First Choice 767-300/ER so there's 9 rows of premium seats.
Darren
Thanks Darren
see you on the flight ted and hols.
We go in 3 weeks Gemsey. When you off.... whoops, just seen your previous post. we go the week before you
Hi, good evening everybody. My daughter and her boyfriend are travelling on TOM 284, 19th May, BHX-Jamaica. They have already pre-booked seats, but are now looking to book specific seats. Just need a little help with seat numbers!! Am I right in thinking that if its a Thomson aircraft seats A & B, And G & H are the window seats seating just two and then the aisle, and if its a FC aircraft these seats will be A & B, and F & G. If this is the case we just need to know if this flight is Thomson or FC. Thanks in advance for any reply.
Your Flight Will Be Operated By A Boeing 767-300, ex First Choice, The Aircraft Are Configured 2-3-2

We fly to Holguin in Jan 2010. Last year we flew with Thomas Cook but did not like the stop over in Varedeo on the way back. This time we booked through First Choice and going Premium class to add a little more to the holiday. We have been told that we cannot pre book the seats until 4 weeks before we travel. Has anyone else come across this problem. With Thomas cook you could book your seat far in advance!!
See Darrens Post
I believe they are now allowing 'select your seat' up to 3 months in advance of departure dates. This applies to outboard seats. For centre seats, this is within 6 weeks of departure.

I know its abit early but i have just booked to go:
08/12/09 MAN-POP TOM122 premier class
15/12/09 POP-MAN TOM123premier class
and in reading the previous reviews ppl have said that it will be a Thomson B767 for the Summer Season 2009. Is there any possibility it could change to an EX FCA aircraft for the winter season?? also does anyone know what airline TOM/FCA did this flight last winter 08/09.
looking at pictures at both FCA and TOM premier class seats the FCA look so more comfortable than TOM.
i am also flying with TOM to MAN-PFO @ 08.15 on 15th July, found out its gonna be B767, cant wait....
