Hi Guys.
Can anyone possibly tell me what aircraft is operating flight TOM466/7 from cardiff to Sharm El Sheik 13:55 05/09/09,
looking to find the layout of the aircraft so as to try and book specific seats,
booked flight at different times so no sit together option.
was under the impression of first come first served at check-in but reading here seems that Thomson's allocate seats the day before.
so need to know where we want to sit so i can try and pre-book the seats.
Lots of very useful information on this site thanks.
Thanks
Darren.
We have booked to fly to Orlando Sanford from Manchester in Jan 2010. Originally it was to be with Thomas Cook who have since cancelled this flight.... We are now booked to travel with Thomson.
So to my question, the invoice states we will be travelling from Manchester on Thursday 14th 09:15 flight TOM156 yet this flight does not appear in any of the brochures to date and on my last visit to the travel agent to pay some money the flight times have now been removed from the system.
Thomson have assured us that this flight is confirmed but the times have been removed as they are no confirmed.
Is there any way of checking this flight?, is anyone else booked on this flight?
I may just be worring about nothing just in the past 5 years of traveling to Florida we have travelled on Saturday.
Thanks for any help in advance.
I am going to Sharm El Sheikh on 12 November from Cardiff. We are flying on TOM 278. Can anyone tell me what type of aircraft this is and what the seat configuration would be?
If a thomson 767 is 2-4-2 does that mean it is confgured for short haul, as opposed to ex FCA 2-3-2 767s which are for long haul?
All Thomson 767 are configured 2-4-2 in economy if they are scheduled to operate long haul though, they remove seats to still give 33" seat pitch and allow 37" in Premium. If they are scheduled to operate short haul, the configuration is 2-4-2 from row 1-47
Glo
You'll be on a 757-200 Which has three seats either side the aisle (3-3) tv monitors overhead or in the aisle above you.
As far as i'm aware the Manchester Orlando flight is still operating throughout the winter and is still on the Thomson Airways website, it is usually removed from the system in the travel agents when there is no more availability. I know when i've been in to book a holiday and the travel agent has told me there are no XXX flights on a certain day, when I know they operate. The tour operators change the days they operate to best fit the schedule, generally in my experience SFB flights are usually around the weekend however it maybe more profitable to operate weekday flights this winter and use the aircraft for another route(such as the lucrative flights for cruise companies which usually go Fri/Sat) I know Thomas Cook have gotten a larger contract with P&O cruise than normal this winter and have cancelled a few flights to make way for these.
I wouldn't worry too much.
You will be on a 757-200 the same as GLO, so your seats will be 3-3 also,Thomson Airways uses a best fit computer system, first seating customers who have paid to sit together and chosen their specific seats it then fits everyone else a bit like tetris so that the least amount of people are split up.
Try and sit near a door as this gets you served quickest on most of our aircraft so either row 2,12, 32 or 41. But be warned it is very very cold near rows 10-14 on this aircraft.
thats great infomation. thanks.
Edit:
Just spoke to Thomson, charge of £10 each to pre book seats bothways,
not got inflight meals so are restricted to last 5 rows,
job done thanks alot.
Try to sit forward of row 39- there is a lot of equipment and overhead storage space is non existant for 38-41
Thanks for that. I just noticed wondered, because G-OBYG is listed on the first page as a long haul aircraft, but I was on it yesterday and it's been configured for shorthaul on 2-4-2 to row 47!
Yes, Orginally there were going to be three ex Thomsonfly 767's doing long haul ( one LGW one MAN & one Spare) because of the swineflu they have put flights originally on these to a ex FCA aircraft which carries less, shifted other flights around and put more seats in all but one ex Thomsonfly 767(based at Manchester) and now they operate short and mid haul routes as people book these destinations rather than get a dose of pig flu(saying that Cancun is now selling more than before!)
Im flying from Gatwick to Cancun on 26/07/09 and its TOM022, can anyone tell me which plane i'll be on and the seating plan e.g 2 3 2.
I was just wondering as to whether anybody had some information on why the Tom474 to Monastir from Birmingham was delayed this morning??
Wanting to know as I'll be on the flight next week and was wondering whether this was a normal occurence with this particular flight.
Many thanks,
Welshy
