We are flying MAN-CUN-MAN (TOM144/5) on 02.08.09
Can anyone confirm (as stated by Dazbo previously)that the previous flight to TOM144/5 is currently TOM152/3 (MAN-Cozumel-MAN). We would like to track its progress the day before our flight in case of delay.
regards

jonboywirral,
I am flying Birmingham to majorca early saturday morning - ( First Choice i think ) can you tell me what plane I will be on and whether it will be a thompson or First choice
BHX-PMI-BHX (TOM7620/1) are operated by a Boeing 757-200 (probably ex-TOM). It makes little difference whether it's a former First Choice or Thomasonfly aircraft; they are the same apart from the ex-TOM have slimline seats fitted so give you a bit more knee-room.

we are off to Majorca on flight number tom5054 30th july and return to stansted 13th august flight number 5405
Can you tell me pls what plane it is ...... tom or ex first choice and what aircraft/seating it has please !
Thank you very much
yipee under 3 weeks now !!!!
STN-PMI-STN (TOM5054/5) are operated by an Airbus A320-200 (First Choice, Thomsonfly never operated them). You'll find further aircraft details on our What Aircraft? guide.

Hello, just wondering how long before does check in open before my flight on july 30th brs-heraklion.
Thanks Darren i knew you wouldn't let me down !!
The recommended check-in time is 2 hours prior to your departure time. As seating is already allocated, there's no need to get there any earlier. If you want to though, check-in desks are normally open 3 - 4 hours before your flight.
Darren
seating is already allocated!? we were gonna get there ealy to make sure we were sat together??
You've no need to with Thomson. Seating is allocated 24 hours before your flight and isn't transferable at check-in, so there's no point getting there early. It's to save time on the day and ensures most people are seated together, with priority to those that have pre-booked seating / meals, specific seats, using a best fit model.

Thanks so much darren for your help!!
I know Thomson and Fc are now one in the same co.
I booked my hol with FC flying with Thomson so am i going to a thomson or fc check in desk or is there only 1 now? its from manchester.
Also the planes.....are there still seperate TOM and FC planes or just one? so confusing lol
My flight is 01/08 Man- Dalaman TOM882 returning 15/08 TOM883
Also did anyone know the answer to my previous Q re: what food it might be onboard? just incase i need to req a veggie meal!
We are flying BHX-LPA on 17th August on flight TOM7120, and LPA-BHX on 31st August on TOM7121; having been following ACARS for several weeks, and looking at Thomson's summer season fleet schedule, can you confirm our flight will be operated by a Boeing 757-200, and how likely is this to be one of the ex-thomsonfly aircraft?
To go slightly off-topic, have you seen the new Thomson Airways safety video - it's an intuitive concept, but unfortunately doesn't appear to be very professional; well that's my opinion anyway!
Have a good weekend,
2morrows pilot 2day
Can you help me (again)! Man - Sfb Aug 09
Just pre-booked row 2 think g/h do you get alot of room in front as in stretch your legs out, or would it be better for row 4 or 5, ps have upgraded to premium.
Cheers
It is a little confusing!! First Choice had their own airline; First Choice Airways. Thomson had their own airline; Thomsonfly. When they merged, First Choice and Thomson as high street brands / tour operators remained, but the airlines integrated to became Thomson Airways. Whether you book with First Choice or Thomson, you'll be flying with Thomson Airways. Just to confuse things further, the aircraft from the First Choice Airways fleet are still in the First Choice livery, even though they are owned / operated by Thomson Airways! You'll get there safe and sound, that's the main thing. Because First Choice is now just a high street brand, you'll only see Thomson Airways at the airport. You need to check-in at the Thomson Airways desks. At Manchester, it's desk numbers 40-56 in Terminal 2. TOM882/3 are operated by former Thomsonfly Boeing 767-304/ER (328Y / short haul). You'll find further aircraft information on our What Aircraft? guide. IFE is listed on page 136. BY-TOM-AMM-FCA might be able to help you with regards to meals.

Seating is personal preference, what I and others may prefer may not be your preference. What are your flight numbers? There's four flights a week so I can't say if it'll be a former TOM or FCA aircraft without knowing which you're on (TOM112/3; TOM, TOM114/5; FCA, TOM118/9; FCA, TOM258/9; FCA). It's too late now you've already booked though! All the premium seats are pretty good, it's only the bulkhead ones where you're a little limited for streching your legs out if you're on the tall side. Assuming you're on an FCA, row 2 offers the same seating as the 7 rows behind.

Welcome back
BHX-LPA-BHX are operated by the based Boeing 757-200's. They are Thomsonfly aircraft as far as I know. I saw the 'new' safety video a while back. I think it's actually quite novel. Many in the aviation community say it's unprofessional, but bear in mind the video is aimed at the charter market, not the scheduled. The big difference is it's targeted at family holidays and flights with a number of children onboard who might pay more attention to that style of video, and parents may find it amusing. That's the reasoning behind it. It's not aimed at the scheduled buiness market. As long as the safety message gets across, that's all that matters. There is an ommitance in it though!
