bejay,
We've answered your question a couple of times! It's 33" on long haul flights. If an aircraft has a technical problem however, they sometimes swap to a short haul aircraft in order to get you away with minimal delay. It's better you get there with less seat pitch than sit in a hotel at the airport for a day or two and lose part of your holiday. This happened a few times over the summer period as a couple of aircraft had recurring problems. They've now been resolved. Arkfly are due to operate a few charters over the winter period, an airline part of Tui but this won't effect flights to Mexico.

Darren,
Thanks for the reply, just another if you don't mind. We are now considering the Thomson flight to Cuba going out on 8th April. Am I right in thinking this will be a B767 in the 2-4-2, 2-3-2 ( premium ) configuration?
Cheers,
Jim

jim98,
Do you know the flight number? I assume it's Manchester to Varadero (TOM108/9)? Flights are currently operated by a former First Choice Boeing 767-300/ER so 2-3-2 throughout.

jim98,
All the long haul fleet have 33" seat pitch in economy. All the details are on the What Aircraft? guide (link below).

Cheers Darren, not sure what we ignoramus's would do without you. Things like seats, configuration & pitch are probably the biggest cause of complaints on flights and you help take the worry out of it. Don't know about anyone else but when there's a problem with a flight my wife always reckons it's my fault ( 'cos I book the holidays ) so you're a great help.
Merry Christmas.
Jim

Jim,take the stress out of holidays let the wife book?? works a treat. Merry Christmas.
Hi
Travelling on TOM 92 from LGW to Cancun 11th of the 3rd, have received email for prebooking our seats, which was nice, the seat config is 2-3-2, from this I would assume that the B767 that is sheduled for this trip is one of first choices, would this be correct.
Regards
Joe

joe3400,
LGW-CUN-LGW (TOM092/3) are indeed operated by a former First Choice Boeing 767-300/ER. You'll find further aircraft information on our What Aircraft? guide (link below).

Hi
Have been looking at the seating plan for TOM770 (Birmingham to La Romana 7/3/10) to reserve specific seat numbers. Rows 9AB/GH and 10AB/GH are available but can you tell me please if these have windows? Also are they ok seats or would i be better reserving ones further back. Thanks in advance.

uklady55,
Your flights are operated by a former Thomsonfly Boeing 767-304/ER. Rows 9 has windows, but row 10 doesn't or very limited from memory. Seating is personal preference really. Rows 9 /10 are located behind the premium cabin so is generally quieter than the rows further back, but it's up to you really.

darbyrw,
It you don't have a Thomson booking reference, then you probably won't be able to book seats online. You'll have to give them a call.

Dazbo,
We are travelling to Tenerife from Manchester in the morning on flight TOM 2244. I think you told us a few months ago that it will be a 757. If so, could you please let us know which rows to ask for on check in with good leg room. Cheers.

Seating is pre allocated approximately 48 hours before departure, so your seats are already chosen for you. This doesn't please everyone but does drastically cut down on the amount of people split up, compared to traditional methods of seating people.
The only time this changes is if there are empty leg room seats at check in and people pay for them, others can then be moved into the newley vacated seats.

On seating will you be able to "pick your seat online" as you can now on the net if you are on a First Choice holiday as well as Thomson Holidays as they both use Thomson Airlines??
qatarman,
As long as you have a booking reference, then yes. First Choice / Thomson are brands under the same umbrella.

Hi Darren,Happy New Year, thank you for the reply.
Just a word of warning with pre booked seats.
Friends of mine had pre booked there seats for their flight to Puerto Plata today and had got to Manchester Airport and done their day before Check-in yesterday she was was given 38C and her hubby was given 36A. Lucky my friend had printed off her reserved booking for proof so got her seats she had previously pre booked, as the Check -in girl did not believe her without the printed paperwork.
So a warning to you all.
' Please print off a copy of your pre booked seat numbers.'
And take a copy with you to the airport.
Angie.

Hi all
On pre booked seats it does say on the confirmation that you should take it and hand in at the check in desk
