That looks like an old photo to me. A few aircraft had basic Thomson titles before the rebrand to Thomsonfly (2005 ish).

ButterChickenGirl,

It could be one of several flights as there's a fair bit of down-time between them and they swap and change.

Since this generates the most questions I have compiled a list of which routes which the ex Thomsonfly and ex First Choice 767-300's will be operating this summer. This as always is subject to operational change but should give everyone a rough idea of what they will be flying on.
So far I have done the list of which routes will be operated by the ex-Thomsonfly 767's(2-4-2 in economy)

Monday:-
TOM112/3 MAN-SFB-MAN(Orlando)
TOM094/5 LGW-HOG-LGW(Holguin, Cuba)
Tuesday:-
TOM122/3 MAN-POP-MAN(Puerto Plata,Dominican Republic)
TOM030/1 LGW-MBJ-LGW(Montego Bay, Jamaica)
Wednesday
TOM126/7 MAN-PUJ-MAN(Punta Cana, Dominican Republic)
Thursday:-
TOM156/7 MAN-AUA-MAN(Aruba)
TOM070/1 LGW-PUJ-LGW(Punta Cana, Domincan Republic)
Friday:-
TOM174/5 MAN-VRA-MAN(Varadero,Cuba)
TOM 050/1 LGW-SFB-LGW(Orlando,Florida)
Saturday:-
TOM118/9 MAN-SFB-MAN(Orlando,Florida)
TOM046/7 LGW-SFB-LGW(Orlando,Florida)
Sunday:-
TOM136 MAN-PUJ-MAN(Punta Cana,Dominican Republic)
TOM060 LGW-AZS-LGW(Samana,Dominican Republic)

If your flight is not listed here, it will be operated by an ex First Choice 767(2-3-2 throughout) I will put specific flights/flight numbers.

That's not a new livery and it hasn't been repainted, just had the titles removed. They may just add Airways after Thomson, that's about as much as we're likely to see!

keel58,

BHX-TFS-BHX (TOM3211/2) is operated by a Thomsonfly Boeing 757-200.

Hi Darren

I am flying Gatwick-Skiathos on 23rd June 2009 (returning 7th July). The original flight times I got when booking last October have been changed (found this out by dummy booking the same holiday and checking the website flight schedule). The return flight is shorter, hence I assumed an upgrade from a 737 to a 757 took place, hence no stopover in Thessaloniki required.

Can you confirm this is the case? I got hold of a schedule today that stated the equipment to be a 75W. Are Thomson getting winglets fitted to their 757's? Is this what is scheduled?

Thanks in advance.

rm2242,

Welcome onboard :tup
Your flights are showing as follows:

Outbound:
Dep LGW Tue 1300, Arr JSI 18:40, Boeing 757-200 (Winglets), Flight No: TOM4242

Inbound:
Dep JSI Tue 19:40, Arr LGW 21:15, Boeing 757-200 (Winglets), Flight No: TOM4243

Some 757-200's (designated 75W) are being retrofitted with API blended winglets in the next month or two ready for the Summer 2009 season.

Oh nice! Didnt know that! Thanks for the speedy reply.

Its good to be onboard. I am a follower of you posts and photos on numerous sites - real pleasure to do so. Any idea which aircraft are getting the WL's? Is it TOM and FCA aircraft?

Are there any updates to the aircraft allocation and/or fleet list since your post some time last summer?

Cheers, rm2242

rm2242,

There's no change to the fleet listing posted a while ago other than the 737-300's are now staying until 2012. I don't have a list of which registrations are getting the winglets (yet!). Some of the ex-FCA 752's that have been on lease to Skyservice are due back in Machester this week.

I see... could well be those getting retrofitted then.

Again, thanks for the replies. Will check back to see any updates on the winglet fitting.

LGW-HOG-LGW are TOM 94-95 not 84-85 are you 100% sure they ex Thomson planes and not First Choice have you got the right route??? I hope you are wrong.

My mistake, the font is tiny on my paperwork. You are correct, it is 94/5 not 84/5 but still a Thomsonfly 767

All Cuba routes this summer are scheduled to be operated by the Thomsonfly 767's- as there isn't the demand for premium seats but because of the route reduction, there is not enough seats on the FCA aircraft(but too many for 2XFCA aircraft)

Hi all

Can anyone tell me what configurations each of the ex-TOM 767's are in? I think G-OBYD has new IFE, 328Y. What about the others?
G-OBYF
G-OBYH
G-OBYE
G-OBYG
G-OBYI
G-OBYJ

Thanks

rm2242,

Currently, they are the following:

G-OBYF - 328Y
G-OBYH - 328Y
G-OBYD - 328Y (ex-long haul / seat back IFE)
G-OBYE - 283 (long haul - 31P, 252Y)
G-OBYG - 283 (long haul - 31P, 252Y)
G-OBYI - 283 (long haul - 31P, 252Y)
G-OBYJ - 283 (long haul - 31P, 252Y)

This will change at the end of the winter season with only 2x long haul configured aircraft and 5 short haul (+ 6x ex-FCA aircraft all long haul; 63P, 195Y).

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone could answer a couple of questions for me, I was trying to book Manchester - PuntaCana with Firstchoice StarClass Premier, however the option (overnight) for premier seats disappeared.... I'm now in deep do-do for not booking it the night before... The think I don't understand is it was showing at least 4 Premium seats on this flight, and the flight a week earlier.. the following morning neither was available...

I therefore ended up booking Manchester - PuntaCana Wed 22nd Apr Depart @ 10:00 , return Wed 29th Apr @ 17:10 in standard class. (Flights ToM133 and ToM134)....

I'm assuming this is ex FCA Aircraft (with new TOM flight code)... so seating shouldn't be too bad in economy 2,3,2.. I hope, assuming that it is an ex FCA aircraft now they have merged.. I pray to god that it's no an old Britannia 767 with 242..... does anyone have any idea if there is likely to be any Premier seats come available, and if there is if I would be able to upgrade?

I've hunted for a onboard drinks price list, and unless I've missed the blooming obvious I can't find the drinks prices / menu anywhere online at all, can anyone point me at info on the web anywhere, or how much drinks are in economy to buy?

Are there any other notable differences between FCA Premium and economy, over free drinks, 3" more leg room, smaller cabin, slightly different amenity packs, priority boarding?

I really appreciate any help!

Thanks :) Andy
