techandy,
Welcome onboard
Looks like someone beat you to it and booked them before you. If someone cancels, SCP seating may become available but you'll be lucky if they do. TOM133/4 are indeed operated by an ex-FCA bird. Personally, I find Star Class more than adequate and don't bother upgrading. I prefer to put the £300 towards a nice hotel and get the benefit for 2 weeks or use it for diving or activities in resort. I got back from Mombasa with them on monday evening, flights were their usual high standard. There isn't a drinks price list online but to give you an idea (from memory): lager is £2.50 a can (330ml Stella), shorts £2.70-£3 and mixers £0.70. Hot drinks are £1.80, 500ml bottles water £1.60. You've pretty much got the gist of the main perks with SCP over SC. You can upgrade the IFE in SC to the SCP pack for £5 and you'll also get an extra 3kg luggage allowance in SCP.

There will be 3 long haul configured 767's from the Thomsonfly fleet, one acting as a standby aircraft should there be any problems with either the Thomsonfly or First Choice 767's.
This should reduce (expensive) long haul delays this summer.
G-OBYD is in long haul config of 283 at the moment but as you say, that will change- it was 328 last summer.

Thanks for the update, that's a change from the original fleet listing for the summer 09 season.

We have just returned from Punta Cana travelling Premium Cabin, and it looks as if I have eat some humble pie(I knock Thomsonfly for being poor) the product was very very good, the IFE knocks spots off Virgin Premium Economy. The only small complaints are the Aldo Zilli meals and on the return the cabin lights were not dimmed untill 4hrs into the flight.Well worth the upgrade for us.
Hi everyone as you already know I go on holiday in 11 days and I know it is a B767-300ER but is there anyway of knowing which aircraft it will be as in G-.......? Or is that impossible? Also can anyone tell me which films etc will be shown? That's the 05/04/09!
Thanks.

Nice to hear you had a good time, The reason the lights wern't dimmed is because the Thomsonfly 767's do not have independant light controls. They are split half way down the aircraft- which encompases the economy section, where the service takes longer. This isn't a problem when travelling on a First Choice 767(well apart from those in the economy section!!)
Should be going on Thomsonfly in June sometime as TOM4342, departing at 13:55, I'm guessing it's a B752, but i'm not sure, can anyone confirm it's a Boeing 757 I'll be going on?
123456,
Thanks for the quick reply!
not much chance at all.. im on the 758 for my may trip NO IFE so take a good book or mp3 flight time last year was 4hr 15 mins
Ahh, ok thanks.
123456 wrote:Thats annoying, really wanted a Boeing 757-200, is it possible they could change it?
Unless there's a technical problem, no. As much as I like the B752 as an airframe, I actually prefer the B738's from a passengers perspective with their overhead LCD screens rather than the now dated CRT's. You'll find further aircraft details on the What aircraft? thread including my recent trip reports on the 737-800 (you'll be on the 737-800 Wingletted version).
Darren
ahh, ok thanks for that, yeah, it's been a long time since I've been on a Boeing 737-800, it was good, but I feel the Boeing 757 is a bit more like 'flying' if you get what I mean.
Anyone tell me what aircraft TOM 3211 from Birmingham to Tenerife will be on April 7th? Is this considered long haul?
BHX-TFS-BHX (TOM3211/2) is operated by a Boeing 757-200. Refer to our What Aircraft? thread for more details (link above). TFS is a short (mid) haul destination.

Does anyone know which aircraft Thomson are using on the Newcastle-Bodrum route on May 7th?
