Hi again Darren,
Thank you so much for your prompt reply - very much appreciated.
Bearing in mind that on the 767 aircraft, Row 1 (bulk Head Seats) is classed as the Exit Seats, would you happen to know what the seat pitch is, taking into considerating that we have paid for extra legroom. We have flown many times with Thoms Cook in the past in Row 1, and the seat pitch was VERY limited.
Kind regards,
Pat
The bulkhead row isn't strictly speaking an exit row (there's no exit there, it's at the other side of the bulkhead), but they do offer extra legroom and are described as such. The problem with the bulkhead seats is even through there's plenty of room in front, those with longer legs can't always stretch them out fully. Being a short :swear, I don't have that problem!!! I can't give you an exact figure for seat pitch, but it's probably about 40".
Darren
Hi,
We are flying to Montego Bay on 23rd April ToM101 from Manchester - could you tell me what aircraft will be operating on this route and the seating configuration please?
Thanks
Im on the same flight..
Rick
As You Will Be Aware There Is Lots Of Information On Your Aircraft Type On Our What Aircraft? Thread. There Is Also Lots Of Information On This Thread,
For Any Specific Questions You Might Have Please Feel Free To Ask
Gower
Thank you.. I have been trying to find out if TOM101/102 will be an ex FCA 767-300, and after searching this thread i found the answer.. :-)
Great thread.. full of info...
One question... where are you getting the info regarding which ex FCA planes are doing what route... reason i ask is i have searched the net and you guys seem to be the only ones who know!! great Work!!
Any idea on reg :-) ?? (i guess it will be hard to say as rolling stock can move to any flight on the daily basis due to tech issues etc..
Rick
I have access to information from the airline and the aircraft schedule, ACARS (SBS-1) and some members here work for the airline. The aircraft are rotated on a regular basis so it's impossable to predict this far in advance which they will use on the day. I can normally tell you 2 or 3 days prior to your flight. They don't vary though, just the positions of the overwing exits depending on the original airline it was delivered to.

Darren,
Thank you so much for your reply - very much appreciated.
40" in Bulk Head - that's fantastic. Just to re-itterate that would be on a 767 from Gatwick - Hurghada?
Would the seat pitch in Rows 33/4 be the sames?
Sorry for so many questions.
Your input really has been appreciated.
Kind regards,
Pat
What are your actual flight details? I assumed the information the cabin crew had given you was correct. Are you going before or after May? If you are travelling in the summer season, assusming you are on the Friday TOM810/1, it's actually a Boeing 757-200 (wingletted), not a 767 as you've been told.
Darren
Flight No: Outbound TOM810, Gatwick - Hurghada, Dept 13.50hrs, 14th Aug
Fight No: Return TOM811, Hurghada - Gatwick, Dept 22.05hrs, 28th Aug
Thanks again Darren.
Kind regards,
Pat
In that case, we'd better start again! I've checked the aircraft schedule and you'll be on a 757-200 (wingetted). Extra legroom rows are at 1 B/C, 2A and 2 D/E/F (bulkhead), rows 12 and 32 (exits).
Darren
Thank you so much. Obviously this "Cabin Crew" member didn't know what she was taking about!
Back to the 757 aircraf. Cam I assume that the configuration is 3-3, and can you tell me what the seat pitch is likely to be in seat no's 2 D/E and F (Bulkhead) Also in Row 32 are there 3 seats together in this row?
So sorry for all the questions Darren.
Kind regards,
Pat
I've put a link to the seating plan on the What Aircraft? thread. As before, the bulkhead seats are a little tight for those with long legs, but the exit rows are roomy as there's an isle infront of them. Bear in mind there's sometimes a slight draft around the doors and they can feel a little cooler.
Darren
Thanks so muich for your help Darren - your a diamond!!
I am flying to cancun from Manchester on 21st April flights number TOM161 and arriving back on flight TOM197
Staying at el dorado royale as a first choice premier luxury holiday, I know this is a Thomson flight because of the merger and also because we have just found out we do not have the 23 kg baggage allowance we were originally told we would have as first choice premier customers, just 20 kg ïÂÂÅ’
It is my first longhaul flight, the longest I have ever been before is to Tenerife so am very excited but also quite scared!
Any info would be gratefully received, such as films and meals., please, what type of plane etc"¦
Also any ideas re seat configuration?
I am very worried as to people comments about not always being sat together, I am a very nervous flyer and don't think I would be able to stand being sat alone for a flight this long"¦ the thought makes me feel physically sick to be honest, is there anything I can do, what about it we check in really early, do you think we would prob be put together, cant bear to think about it"¦.
edited to add - we are flying in standard, not premium, and pre-booked seats is included , thanks

Welcome onboard
Further to snowyboy's post, your outbound flight is operated by a Thomsonfly Boeing 767-304/ER. These are configured 2-4-2 in economy and 2-3-2 in Premium with 33" / 37" seat pitch respectively. Your return flight is operated by a former First Choice Boeing 767-300/ER. These are configured 2-3-2 throughout with 33" / 36" seat pitch respectively. You'll find further aircraft details on our What Aircraft? thread. BY-TOM-AMM-FCA kindly posted the IFE listing for March / April here. It'll change for May / June. I wouldn't worry about the flights; the aircraft are comformtable, especially your return flight on the ex-FCA aircraft that have a bit more elbow room. I prefer them over the Thomsonfly ones. You'll have a seat back screen so you can choose what you want to watch and you can upgrade to the premium IFE for £5. You'll receive a meal about 2 hours after take off followed by a snack 90 minutes before landing. If you've pre-booked seating together, you'll be sat together although this is sometimes across an isle if you are unlucky. Seating is pre-allocated 24 hours before the flight so getting to check-in early won't make any difference. If you have any other burning questions, fire away
Darren
re the luggage =- when i picked the tickets up yesterday in the first choice travel agents i nearly had a row with them as i was adamant we were still entitled to the 23 kgs even tho 20 kgs was printed on our tickets but she phoned first choice helpline and they advised her that it was only 20 kgs for us as it was a thomson flight boo boo
hopefully we will have one of the 2s seeing as we are a couple just really really hope it is not across an aisle, looks like there is nothing i can do to try and stop this tho, pre-booking was included in our premier deal so just fingers crossed that we will be sat together
ok wont bother going any earlier to check-in then if it doesnt make any difference.
is it okay to get up and walk around a bit? so know my legs are going to be aching so much!

emmar75 wrote:is it okay to get up and walk around a bit? so know my legs are going to be aching so much!
That is actively encouraged and you'll find a stream of people walking up and down the isles! The only thing you are asked not to do is cross from one side of the aircraft to the other and do 'circuits'. It gets annoying to passengers sat in extra legroom seats and you get in the way of cabin crew in the galleys otherwise.
Darren
Does anyone know what type of 767 will be operating TOM074/075 from LGW to CUN on 14th July returning 28th July? We have upgraded to the premium cabin for both flights as it's our honeymoon. We plan to phone Thomson Airways around 6 weeks in advance to select specific seats therefore would also appreciate any advice anyone can give on what seats to select?
Thanks in advance,
Martin82
