Darren,

Many thanks for prompt response. Glad to hear it's an ex First Choice 767 as I think the seats are just slightly wider!

Cheers,

martin82,

I wouldn't like to put a measurement on it, but slightly is the operative word in the economy seats! You do have more elbow room though on the ex-FCA's. In premium, there's no difference as both variations of 763's are 2-3-2 with the same seats.

Hi Darren
I am flying to Sharm on the 27th April from Doncaster on TOM 351 returning on TOM367. What type of plane will it be.
Thanks

Andreajr,

DSA-SSH-DSA (TOM351/367) are operated by a Boeing 737-800.

phillhutton,

Welcome onboard :tup
You'll find lots of information on these pages. MAN-CUN-MAN (TOM144/5) are operated by an ex-First Choice Boeing 767-300/ER. You'll find further aircraft details on our What Aircraft? thread. You'll be able to pre-book seats from May. If you give Thomson Airways a call 6 weeks before your departure date, you'll be able to choose which ones you want.

So how much difference in seat width is there in the 767s between the old FCA and TOM aircraft?
I kind of assumed the seats wouldn't be that different - and the aisles would be narrower - am I being quite naive?!
I've done FCA a few times - can't say large overweight me with little baby on lap is looking forward to the TOM seats!
I phoned them over the weekend - apparently not a single seat on our outbound flight has been specifically reserved!
Don't know wheather to take a chance on getting a window/aisle or pay the extra - or even the quoted £110 ish per person for the one way Premium upgrade that is available (which apparently will only become available to book 7 days before the flight).
Decisions decisions!

rhodgreen,

There's not a lot in it really. The seats are marginally wider on the ex-FCA's and you do get a bit more elbow room. The isle is a little narrower on the ex-TOM's.

Thank you snowyboy,

It is very interesting, however, I couldn't hear what the people on the videos were saying because of the background music. I will go onto youtube to watch them there.

Hello.

I was finally able to select a seat for my Manchester to Luxor flight (tom668) on 6th May. It's available to book for all holidays departing up to 19th May.

The only downside is that after reading the Thomson Cargo Website the plane was shown as a 767-300 but when booking the seats the woman @ Thomsons said it was a 757, not really the comfiest for a 6 hour flight :(

Suzie,

Can I just ask, is your holiday booked through Thomson or First Choice?

Thanks for your reply, Suzie.

We are booked with FC so no doubt their system wont let us pre-book the actual seats.
