Russ09,

Your flight is operated by a Boeing 767-300/ER. It should be an ex-FCA aircraft which are configured 2-3-2.

Garym,

I hope you do get the full premium service, the left hand isn't talking to the right hand at the moment I have asked the question today about the Egypt routes/767's and premium service I couldn't get a straight answer, this was laughably in our Head Office.
Based on the inflight service "workshops" I have been involved in and past experiences on board as cabin crew I would lean towards you not getting the full service. But if today is anything to go by, anything is possible. Glad I won't be doing the flight though(no offence) that service in 5 hours :cry brings tears to my eyes!

I will be able to confirm for definate 100% in a few weeks.

Thanks for the reply guys. What do u think my chances are of prebooking seats in premium as well?

We are travelling to Orlando with Thompson on May 21st. 2009. We have booked premium upgrades. We enquired of our travel agents about pre - allocated seats. (The travel agent rep. is my daughter-in law's sister.!) She was told by Thompson that as we had premium upgrades we automatically had guaranteed seating together , so pre allocation was possible but not neccessary as we were bound to sit together. Thompson's brochure disagrees. We are NOT guaranteed to sit together , it says. So I phoned Thompson. I was told we were NOT guaranteed sitting together but we COULD choose our seats numbers before we fly, but not until 6 weeks before. This would cost £10 per person. After readin all that has gone before ,and now this , who do you believe? I will phone Thompson again 6 weeks before we fly and let you know what happens.

Russ09,

Untill all the internal systems are talking to each other with the merger, you won't be able to pre-book specific seats in premium with First Choice. You can call and ask, but it's only possible to do it on Thomsonfly aircraft at the moment.

chrissfhl,

Because of the nature of the seating, 2-3-2, it can't be gauaranteed that everyone will be seated next to the person you want. Most people in premium are couples. With 7 abreast seating, it's therefore impossable to gauranteed everyone will be sat together. Most people do, but for the unfortunate few, they may be seperated by an isle or sat one behind the other. It is possible to pre-book specific seats in premium if you call them within 6weeks of your departure, but only if you are travelling on a Thomsonfly aircraft at the moment. Once the merger has been completed and the internal systems are talking to each other, i'm sure they'll roll out 'select you seat' across the board like they offered the last few seasons (it's a good earner for the airline).

sparky123,

Because of the merger that is ongoing, it's not easy getting hold of the information and it's constantly changing. The aviation and holiday markets are in turmoil at the moment. Things should start to settle down once Thomson Airways are officially here and fingers crossed, both sides of the merger are operating from the same systems. Myself, BY-TOM-AMM-FCA and GowerL7 have been working very hard to get all the information for you and answer your questions as accurately as we can. It's very time consuming answering questions around other commitments. I don't think your other post on the main forum was needed, that is why David locked it. There was a bit of confusion, but your question(s) are now answered. It's always important to supply us with as much information as possible so we can get hold of the relevant flight information. There are generally multiple flights, which was the cause of the confusion. That's why we need to know the specific one you are on. If we can be of any further assistance, please post here rather than starting a new thread.

russ581,

Welcome onboard :tup
It should be an ex-FCA Boeing 767-300/ER. LGW will have 2x ex-FCA aircraft and a Thomsonfly based there through the summer. We'll be able to confirm it closer to the time.

They have 2 767-200's which they stored at the start of this year. But haven't got rid of, or stored, any of the -300's recently and as far as I am aware don't have any plans to.
