One of our property management companies we had once sent out one humdinger of an email to all their clients. Turns out he was about to be made redundant and wasn't very happy. Looks like the same might have happened.

It does appear the staff member was seeking redress for something but I do know that sometimes complaining customers can drive you to distraction....

I recall being on the receiving end of a very whining holidaymaker in the post-departure department one evening and she just constantly went on and on about every little thing she could find.... I couldn't get a word in edgeways until finally - she ran out of steam.

So very politely I asked her just one question "Tell me, Mrs xxxxx. I see in the brochure the photograph shows the curtains being blue. If they were yellow, would you have submitted a complaint about that too?"

Strangely enough, she hung up.... :que
