We have the booking and part invoice for deposit payed but nobody is getting one penny more untill I have Travel Agent change documents.We are not too bothered if we have to cancel as working here in Qatar it will give me more time with our Grandchildren.We have used Thomsons for 20+ yrs and never had a letter like the one you recived.If they practice what they preach I would have had my new invoice weeks ago,my wife was talking to our old travel agent yesterday and it seems the only clients waiting for new invoices are yes Thomson clients.
So the growth of the big companies continues at the expense of smaller independent firms...
but the service goes down....
why am I not surprised?

Still not sorted my wife informed the travel agent if its not sorted by 1week today we will be cancelling.Its not the travel agents fault they are fed up of phoning Thomsons every day.
At last we have all the paperwork sorted.

Thomson don't have that facility, which can be a pain as you have to contact them by phone to pay balances, add ons and such like which costs more money!!
On the website there is a facility "to ask a question" or you can email.

Yesterday I booked a holiday to Benidorm for next month and got an on-line discount of over £200, then applied this code and got the further discount of £100.
So we have a Two week, Full board holiday for £736 at the Orange hotel.

Stayed at their sister hotel (Venus) Oct just gone- and thats a great too!
Have a fab time!
(Ps - we emailed a week before hand to ask for a room with a pool view on third floor- and we got one!)

Can't seem to get the Thomson site to work for me this afternoon.
Guess it must be a systems problem as Portland wont seem to price up either. Bit daft really as there are probably a few people at home at present with time to spare and they have some kind of a sale on, you would think they would make sure the site was OK. Wont let me do packages, refers me to hotel only and then whatever date/destination I select it says no availablity, tried half a dozen.

what's the chances of the high street thomson travel agent beating the thomson internet price?
Never had any problems getting TA to beat online prices. I go in with printout of offer online and ask them to beat it. They always will, even if it's just free meals or free baggage upgrade. I have done this many, many times with all the major TA including Thomson. They do expect you to book it that day though.
