The last time being from the 24th of Oct until the 8th of November.
When we arrived we had to clean the Caravan because it was in a poor state, we did not complain (I know we should have), but because over the years we had built (we thought) a friendly relationship with the camps staff we didn't because we did not want to get any one into trouble, we also noted that one of the Dining chairs was broken because we were going to be the last people in this Caravan for the season we thought they must know and because we did not need it we again did not say anything . When we left we cleaned the Caravan (we always do this) my wife doesn't like to leave it dirty . 4 days after we left we received a Curt letter from the Park Manager stating that we had damaged a chair and the Caravan had to have extra cleaning and demanding the sum of £105 for the chair and cleaning . My Wife immediately phoned the Park to be told The Manager wasn't there and they could not help, she then Phoned Thornleys head Office and spoke to a person who said his name was Mr -- removed -- he said he would investigate and get back to her . Nothing was heard for a few days so I E-Mailed the head Office telling them what I have listed here and asking for an apology and pointing out several things that should not have happened during our stay including the state of the caravan when we arrived . today I received two E-Mail's from head ofice one standing by the allegations and demanding payment , the other refuting all the points I raised, and even sugesting this have ben a regular occurance and they are doing this because of that, (in all the years of taking Holidays at that Park they have never raised an issuse), in fact the only other problem I had when their laundry equiopment damaged a very exspencive shirt and they refused to compensate me .
i have replied Back to the Demand asking for compensation for the hours we spent cleaning and for what I term to be Harrasment .
Also reiterating that I stand by my complaints about the park including the Caravan because its the truth, I also pointed out I do not appreceate being called a liar and their customer service if appalingly bad.
We have tried speaking to them Direct, we have tried E-Mailing them, we will no longer take our holidays with this company, and I did tell them that when I complained in my first E-Mail (that may be why they are happy to call me a Liar, after all its not as if they will be getting any more custom from me ), I find it unbelievable that they can act in such a arrogant manner towards a customer, if what they aledge was true I would have no problem paying them but it will be a cold day in hell when I pay them for their own incompetence, which in essence is what I think has caused the problem, Their staff failed to do their job properly so they try and blame the customer.
Any advice will be most welcome because I will not let them Bully me in to paying up .
again Advice will be welcome, does any one know can they debit my Credit card with out my permission ?
