We have booked for the Maldves for next July too and were also concerned regarding the weather. I have found this site which lets you put in the weeks you are traveling to a destination and it gives a hour by hour, day by day breakdown of what the weather was. I don't know how accurate it is but it has put my mind at rest. Select the trip planner button

certainly for the places I have been to. The trip planner is a great indication of what to expect. Unfortunately not all destinations have the trip planner facility.

Thanks for the weather link Trish, it has put my mind at rest now and I will be going ahead with the trip. It's encouraging to know that the rain isn't for long periods and that it was mostly in the early hours/evening. Once again many thanks

No probs Karen, I was like you when I saw the rain was not usually during sunbathing hours. I really can't wait to get there.
