J.P. Singh in Indian Express (according to Estonian newspapers today) told that there is big possibility that the next targer for terrorists attacks could be Goa with its 150km coastline. This is first time when Goa government admits that Al-Qaeda keeps an eye on this region.

This is a big part of what the terrorists want. It is not what they do but what they threaten to do, I used to be in an abusive relationship and it is the same principle play on peoples fears about what might happen. Fear cripples economies, propoganda is a mighty tool, I'm past all that and although we will obviously take care nobody is stopping me from takeing my well earned holiday.

They won't stop me and mine either - we have booked to return again in March and assuming our flight doesn't get pulled, we will still be going.
When I think back to last year and how disillusioned I was on my return I remember thinking that I wouldn't return, BUT that would have been MY decision, I will not be dictated to by these plonkers, they will NOT rule my life.
However, I will take sensible precautions and avoid those obvious places that are generally targetted by the likes of these cowards.

here here, we were in new york when the towers came down seen the lot we were also on our way to mombassa when they bombed there, never will they stop us going anywhere in the world. there just a sick lot ill keep my wits about me thats it we fly in to mumbia tomorrow then down to goa . all the best to all on the site and a happy new year ....tony and elaine

Don't stop going that is exactly what these prats want...we too have been to places following bombings etc...Mombasa was one place. We are not going to Goa next year as we have had enough but it not the bombers that have put us off...far from it...more to the point the Russians have spoilt for us. Good luck everyone and have a good time!

We leave tomorrow and will be staying a month. Cannot wait. I intend to be sensible and stay away from crowds, i.e. the markets and the beach on Christmas Eve and New Years Eve but will still have a great time getting the batteries recharged ready for the 2009 working year (which is my last - whoopee).
I have worked in London all my life with the terror threats from the Irish right up to the tube bombings and have no intention of anyone stopping me doing want I want to do - will just keep my eyes peeled which is second nature for me. Bring on the sun!

ann and myself are heading to goa early jan for a few weeks and are returning home via mumbai we are definetly going for a beer at leopolds
I believe that Leopolds are not going to repair the walls that have the bullet holes in as they has become quite a tourist attraction. Many indians are having their photographs taken sitting by the walls with the holes in.
