My daughter, grandchildren and I will be visiting cyprus for the first time in October. Would anyone be so kind enough to provide us with phonetic translations of the common courtesy terms such as hello, thank you etc, as i have looked online at the translation tools and they provide us with the words, but not how to say them. Any help would be appreciated

i watched the BBC talk Greek schools program the other week [at 4 in the morning how sic is that] but half of what they were teaching didn't bear any relationship to how Greeks talk everyday and in Cyprus the language is slightly different again as it contains many English,Turkish and other words
