I have just found some D!argan oil in my flight bag and havent a clue what to do with it. :rofl :rofl
I bought it in the Soula centre as a woman in front of me had 6 in her basket so thought it must be worth buying. :tup
Its a 28ml bottle and on the side it states it fortifies hair, strengthen nails and helps premature ageing!
I am not expecting miracles but would like to use it. :rofl :rofl

Wow Jean, can we have 'before and after' photographs? :rofl Reminds me of the jar of stuff I bought in the medina a couple of years ago when I'd forgotten to pack any moisturiser and my skin felt dry. It had a picture of a blonde woman on the front and when I opened it it smelt of roses - absolutely lovely. Unfortunately the label was in Arabic and I didn't have the nerve to stick my finger in. When I got back to the hotel and investigated it had a consistency somewhere between blancmange and wet cement. I actually tried it as a face pack and must say it wasn't bad, especially for about 50p. :rofl

I will stick it on my hair the next time I wash it!
My skin felt dry recently then I discovered I had been using bum wipes instead of face ones. :yikes :rofl
I must remember to read the labels. :tup

I must remember to read the labels.

That's a good idea Jean as long as they're written in English :rofl

AnneJ0505 - I'm sure you'll have a good time in Tunisia at Christmas and I have it on good authority that Father Christmas does know where all the hotels are so nothing to worry about on that score. I've actually seen photos of him on a camel by the pool at the Hana in Sousse whilst people have been swimming.

As you know I'll be out there not long after the election and think it will be an interesting time. I know these are just to decide who will be drawing up the new constitution, but in my view this is even more important than electing the actual government, as it will be the constitution which lays the foundation of the future of the country. We can only pray that democracy prevails and as well as much needed changes, the freedoms already experienced, including the rights of women to work, own property and divorce are upheld. Enhada is trying to promote itself as 'liberal Islamic' but many of us believe they have a very different agenda.

Thanks Aslemma. We are staying at the Radisson Manchester Airport on Xmas Eve so I hope Santa find us there :) We have been to M Palace the last 2 Xmas now so know what to expect. Just want to chill out!

Yes it will be interesting to see what happens, and would be a shame if any trouble started up again. They've had 9 months of "freedom" but I am a bit worried that certain parties will be looking for the land of milk & honey rather than reality.

I do agree Anne. With no past experience of democracy I rather fear that some people may expect too much too soon. Of course the forthcoming elections are actually only to decide on who should draw up the new constitution, but in my personal opinion this is even more important than who leads the eventual government. Governments can be changed far easier than constitutions, and unless basic rights and freedoms are enshrined in the constitution things could go from bad to worse.

Jimmy Glasgow - Hope you and Anne have a good flight tomorrow and a great holiday. Sorry I'll miss you both but think I'll be too tired after my flight on 6th to come up to PEK before you leave. Give my love to Sam and friends. :kiss

Just a quick update folks. Today is the first time the internet has been on since we arrived, hence the delay.
Great flight from UK to Enfidha, everything went smoothly. The Riviera hotel is lovely and quite busy compared to last month.
Food and entertainment is good and staff are 1st class. As expected from the Tunisians.
Weather to date has been hit and miss. Thunder storms on Sat night into Sunday and still heavy rain today. Been in hotel now for 2 days.https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/e1nLb0Moqw-MrLcR_syBpw?feat=directlink
Flight arrivals have been badly disrupted, as Enfidha was closed and flights diverted to Monstair. Some flights were diverted to Malta before flying into Tunisia.
Got another week to go, so here's hoping. Haven't seen anyone yet Asleema, but will pass on your regards.
Bye for now. Going to change seats for a different view of the persistant rainfall. :think

Hi Jimmy, I've seen reports and pics of the flooded towns on FB and am not happy. I have experienced storms out there, particularly a couple of years ago in October when the water was up to my knees in Sousse trying to cross the road. Another time I had an apartment near the Medina and had to carry my shoes and hitch my skirt up to run through it, only to find 3 young girls standing in the street looking like drowned rats. I took them in the provided towels etc and let them practise their English. :rofl The storms can be quite spectacular but I'd rather not have them next week. Unfortunately I can't open the link to your pics but I'm glad you're happy with the hotel as it does make a difference, especially if the weather is iffy.

Hope the weather improves for you both this week and only sorry I'll miss you. As I hardly ever use the internet out there we'll speak either on here or on the phone after I get back on 20th Nov. :kiss

:think If there are any more floods you are not allowed to go Aslemma ;)
Your link doesn't work for some reason Jim :(

Unfortunately I haven't got room in my luggage for waders Graham but I'm going anyway. :rofl I had only just about dried out that year when I had the accident two days later and finished up in Clinique Essalem. The only 'holiday photo' I've got from that trip is of me in the hospital bed, taken by someone I had thought of as a friend until she posted it on Facebook. :yikes

Incidentally I'm glad I'm not the only one who can't access Jimmy's photos as I thought I was having a senior moment.

:think Tip for the day, if you go swimming with the fish leave your camera on dry land :D

Talking of cameras we still haven't seen any recent pictures on here, anybody :que

I'm never going to be allowed to live that trip down am I Graham
:D I am afraid not.

Have a great time Aslemma and do take some pictures for us to see, in fact here is your task, climb and take a couple of pictures from the Ribat Watch Tower in Sousse :tongue

Aslemma - enjoy your holiday :cheers Can you let me know if the Kasbah & Tour Khalef at the top of the Medina in Sousse has re-opened - its been closed the last few times we have been there? :(

Just trying to get hold of some wellies as I'm told a lot of areas are flooded. :yikes As we have problems here with snow, Tunisia has problems with rain, as the drains simply can't cope. Train services have been disrupted and some roads are impassable, with more rain promised next week, though Sunday is forecast to be dry and Monday reasonably so.

I won't be climbing the Ribat tower Graham as I know my limitations (despite rumours to the contrary) but I'll try and get a few pics on here when I get back.

I'll find out about the Kasbah and Tour Khalef at the top of the Medina Anne. A Scots friend of mine is living out there at present and she is a mine of useful information.
