Just got back and they have a new turkish baths at the Mersoy Hotel. Very, Very good - I would recommend it. It is quieter the the big on in Marmaris but has an excellent range of services. Steam Room, Body Scrum and Soap Massage and Oil Massage and Jacuzzi. If you book with the booking shops you get the lot for £7.00

They also do beauty treatments at an extra cost which my daughter took advantage of. I think it is cheaper to book with the excursion shops as they wanted extra at the hotel from us when we took my daugher. Have a great time and enjoy!

:D Hi we arrive on the 3rd Oct roughtly about 3pm, we would like to go for a turkish bath asap.

When we stayed in Icmeler a few years ago we booked one we got picked up by bus and went to a big one i think in the Armatillan area im not sure but it was really good.

When we stayed at Pineta last year we had one in hotel which was brilliant, but we would love to go back to the first one that we ever went to.

Does any one have any idea which one im on about?

If so would i be able to phone them directly to pick us up on the 3rd Oct

If so any one got phone number i could have please, all we can remember it was in Marmaris area it was a big dome like building

You went it and there was huge fish in a tank, then you went through to the steam room had a turkish bath then you sat outside waiting to go into a next room for a massage.

If any one could help i would be most gratefull thanks

Marion and Family xx

celine2002uk,

Is this the one you mean? I went last year and it was an experience! I don't have any contact info I'm afraid but I think you should be able to organise a trip locally no problem.

Hi Turkishgirl, don't know about other turkish baths, but we went to the old one in fethiye and when mentioned this to a waiter he told us next time go to the one in the sports centre near the bus station (not the dolmus station).
Haven't tried it yet so have no idea if it was good advice.
we had no problems with the one in the market anyway, wife was happy even though saunas were mixed, she kept her cossie on and had no problems with "wandering hands" etc , she had been worried about male masseurs prior to going in.
hope this helps you and any others

We had ours at St Nicholas Park hotel. It was fab. Its very entertaining too. WHen we walked in we had cold water thrown over us by the bloke and had water melon and water while we were waiting.

Very professional. No perverse in any shape or form. Would highly recommend them at the hotel.

Fantastic .... we had one at the Pegasus Palace - not sure what to expect as we had never experienced one before but my husband, myself and my 2 daughters (12 and 8 ) all had one and we were put into the sauna first then took into the room for the Turkish Baths, it was fab, nothing perverse in any way - they were extremely proffessional and I had no doubt about my daughters safety at anytime. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend it to anyone.

I booked some excursions on the first few days in Gumbet (margaret tours) they threw in a free Turkish soap massage! this included a sauna then a great big bear of a man throws icy cold water all over you, a relax for about 10 mins then you are scrubbed down then placed onto a slab soaped up and given a rough massage front and back - i elected to pay for a full body massage after - heaven! i felt great and (being a red head) managed to get a brilliant sun tan - i also had another turkish bath at the end of the holiday - my tan is great and i felt good on the flight home - no stress etc.

If you are going to Turkey - Have a Turkish Bath! my first one on this holiday i got pally with a couple with 2 boys and the kids thoroughly enjoyed themselves!
Definately a must!

here goes, Well Im all up for anything nice but like others was a bit worried about the "sleazy" side of the hamam that people were worried about, so after booking up I asked if I could book a woman to "do me" needless to say on arrival the only woman around gave me my tea towel and some flip flops and a locker key, I got changed into me bikini (one with a clasp fastening so no excuse for "oh the ties came undone" and big bottoms (no, high up ones not size 20, and not the reason for the gas bubbles in the poo/blue lagoon) so I was taken to the lovely domed room and told to relax, me, relax? Well, me glasses steamed up and i can only see 5in without em, Christ I sould like Olive from "On The Buses" There were two people being finished off and they went and left me with two turks in gravity defying tea towels. I was getting nervous cos they kept glancing at me, this white blob with steamed up specs and i wondered if anyone would hear if i screamed, it being 50 ft below sea level! So one chap says "lie down 10 minutes" which i did and they left (change of shift or to go for a good laugh out of earshot) after a few mins of tapping my fingers and getting more worried and NOT relaxing a man came in and i sat up and assumed "crash position" or "defence" arms crossed, legs crossed, lips pursed (bit like when there is an altercation in our bedroom) So he came to me with a card by which time id relaxed enough to undo me arms but now sat crossed legged, (big chief sitting bull stylee) he pointed to the card and said "mud spots gone" "Eh?" Oh face mask!! no thanks, then he pointed between my legs and said "you wanna extra too? there, rub, off?" Well, I bloomin froze .. there is no escape cos the room is round and had visions of a Tom n Jerry type chase, t he kept pointing and saying "there, there" then the penny dropped, he was pointing what WAS between my legs, my feet, my heels, my dry skin on my heels!!!! Well... the relief!!!..... (almost as much as if he HAD done what i thought he was going to do!.)....anyway the rest of the experience was great and i came out of there a brave and confident and rather smug person as i was going to get a better tan than you!! and i walked all the way back with my Tesco Value kaftan on inside out!!!!!!!
