You don't have to have a fear of heights.
This is the view from the Gran Hotel Bali . (Cala Finestrat) (Benidorm)
The lift takes you to the 43rd floor and then you climb another 2 floors to reach the viewing platform.
It costs €5 per person and it's a bit of a rip- off really.
It's reported that on a good day, that you can see Ibiza, well it was a perfect day and I never saw Ibiza.
It doesn't feel like you have just gone up 43 floors in the lift and some of these buildings that you look down upon, are skyscrapers themselves.
At the end of the video, I've included some footage that I took that evening from my hotel balcony....
It was very unusual to see the cloud rising from the base of Puig Campana and what a beautiful sky !.....it was all gone and dark within half an hour.

Love tall buildings
Hi Van.
You'll love Benidorm then
We have something in common because whilst I don't like being high in the air, in an aeroplane, I too love tall buildings.
That particular hotel held the record at one time for being the tallest building and hotel in Europe, but that's been surpassed now by other construction, although it still holds the record as the tallest hotel in Europe.
They had a lot of problems during construction and mid-way they had to reinforce the foundations, and for a long time it looked like it was never going to be completed, I was told (don't know how true it is) that one of the proposed lift shafts still has the crane in situ, they never figured out how to dismantle it by the time they'd finished building and at the time it was beyond what they had ever built before, so the easiest solution was to lose a lift and solve the problem....then they added two panoramic external lifts to one side of the building.
It wouldn't surprise me, if it is true.
OK if you've never watched the film " The Towering Inferno"

Sanjiiiiiiiiiii
Did you come down in the panoramic glass lift?
I did a few years ago, quite an experience.
Lizzie.
No, we went up & down via the internal lift.
I think David would lose the bit of hair that he has left TBH.
I was the one that dragged him up there and he was not impressed with the height, he couldn't wait to get back down and all he kept yapping about was the film "the towering inferno"
Steve McQueen or Paul Newman, he certainly is not.!
I love tall buildings and some world famous architects "cut their teeth" building/designing skyscrapers in Benidorm during the 70's/80's...and the buildings are still standing, they might have been refurbished, but the structure is still sound today.
Which is more than you can say for some Spanish "shoe-box" properties, built recently.
Sanjiiiiiiiiiiiiii
We have been up to the top of the Bali, when it was first opened,
but only took a few pictures.
