I've had a rethink and as my dad not back in country till end of May i not sure i can wait that long so may go for sponsorship alone - You'd think i a kid, im 37 - lol.
Whilst saving dont look healthly (love holidays too much) would capital of over 70k and share ownership be of any assistance in proving financial situation?
Cant say i'm an expert as i dont have any capital just whats in my bank!!! But it sounds fine, they just want to know you have enough to support him while he finds work and a place to live. I reckon you would be fine!!
thanks for all your support and advise earlier this year.
Well we finally got married on the 29th March 06, in Volano Italy where my tunisian husband is resident..
What a job we had with getting nulla osta's changed had to go to Milan to both embassy's to get this done, but its worth it thats for sure.
We have now to present all papers to an agency in Milan that will then send to the Embassy in Rome to apply for a settlement visa.. has anyone any ideas please on how long this will take?
I really need my husband in the uk with me we are so in love and so very very happy..
Take care
Love
Susie

going to visit my fiance in june need as much information on getting married and visa before i go if anyone can help i would be very grateful thank you
My other half is Tunisian also I amazed to see on here how many girls their are with Tunisian men on here.
What is rare is if your like me and your English (guy) with a Tunisian fiancee (woman) then you really have to jump through the hoops and though I have had very few issues I think there is definately a different attitude to this.
Most of the dialog on here seems to be about the logistics but what I always find facinating is how you folks met your Tunisian other halves.
I met mine when she was studying english in Norwich a few years ago and staying at my friends sisters house. I still remember her dads face when I turned up to ask his permission so funny "its your falt you shouldn't have sent her to England" I said which always gets a laugh.
I assume that you are Christian/Jewish if so as your boyfriend is Muslim you are allowed fredom to express your religion as Muslim men are free to marry women of other one god faiths "people of the book". However the fun comes with the children as Islam is a paternal religion ie father passes religion onto the kids.
I am getting married to my fiancee later this year and not being the most religious of folks converted to islam as being a guy this is essential before marrying a tunisian women.
To be perfectly honest with you my attitude at the start was nothing is going to stop me from being happy not religion nor other people. However Islam is a beautiful religion and gives you such an insite to other muslims I am proud of being a muslim. However nothing has stopped me being the same person as before (less drinking and pork)
My family are open and belive love is most important if yours don't then your in for a rough ride. The bottom line is research and make your own deicisions as you have to live with them.
Talking about getting married and all that, Its ok, I`m married so dont you lovely girls start panicking.
We got very friendly to a guy who worked as a photgrapher in PEK called Ammor. We stayed at the Golf residence, And he was there alot. He was always telling me of his girlfriend back in England, And showing me some of the texts she sent him on his birthday. He was very proud and looked very very happy. Nice guy to.
Just wondering if one of you out there was the girl he was talking about, And being nosy at the same time.
can anybody give me some information if they know of any about if me and my fiance could marry in england and how we could go about doing that it would be very helpful. thank you i look forward to hearing from people x
i got married on the 8th april 06 in hammam sousse, and flew home on 21st april......with my husband!!! i was very surprised at the embassy, they did not interview him, just me! we had previosly been refused a holiday visa twice, but i think we gave them no reason at all to refuse for the settlement visa!!
i had a lovely wedding day, 25 people from england came, and there were about 800 tunisians!! it was a very surreal day, but amazing!
i hope all of you have the good luck that we did, as it is awful leaving the one you love behind, i had been doing if for a year and a half, so you can imagine how ecstatic i was when we got it!
please feel free to email me and ask anything uou like, if i can help in any way i would be more than happy to do so.
Emma xxxx

can anybody help me i am going to see my fiance in june and we want to go and try to get him a holiday visa but i need all the information of what i need to take with me and what documents i need to enclose and do i have to take bank statements and a letter to say we will support him and will they refuse the visa if they think we dont have enough money please help me i only have 7 weeks to get as much information as i can so we can go to the embassy in june HELP
i am visiting my fiance in june and want to apply for a holiday visa for him. i currently live with my mum so if he gets a holiday visa then he would live with us in our house and we will feed him etc during his stay but he will be paying for his airfare and other things. he is currently training for the police so he has to go every other month if he got a letter from them saying he was training with then and he would continue his training when he returned would this help. should me or my mum write a letter inviting him do we have to send it to him or can we just take it with us when we go in june? we have phone bills, bank statements from myself and my mum, tenecy agreement for our house, photos, letters, payslips from my mum and myself etc is this enough? i will also get my fiance to get bamk statements etc. how does my fiance get a police check he should know this but i just want to double check. i know this is a long question but i want to try and get everything sorted now so that when it comes to june i wont be stressing out like i am now. i just really want him to get this visa so i have come to everyone on here for help because when i look at the british embassy in tunis website i just get confused. is it 125 dinar for a holiday visa? please some one help i am going out of my mind with worry. look forward to hearing from you. thank you x
I know that they have to go into a meeting , and have to explain everything they intend to do while in the uk .
your best bet is to ring the british embassy and see what they say
When we were in pek last year one of bar staff had his visa turned down 3 times to come to england to get married then he was returning to tunisia with his new wife he was devastated that he could not leave to get married.
we are not getting married he only wants to come for a holiday for a few months to meet my family and friends etc
