Hi
Gazzy has the correct name, but I don't think they have a website ??
I also agree with his point about the Ayia Napa one, S-U-P-E-R-B !

thanks pubdog - the only thing is i looked at the website for the ayia napa one "waterworld" and the rides there are too big for my young ones. would suit the child in my hubby lol - but just wondered what the protaras one was like.

thanks pubdog - after all that it does look pretty crap doesnt it lol.

maybe we will try the one in ayia napa after all along with the marine park - with the dolphins and sealions.

thanks for all the help.

also, seeing as you know what you are talking about, can you give me an idea of the cost of a pint of bear and glass of coke etc.

thanks for your help!

seeing as you know what you are talking about

:yikes Whatever gave you that idea ?

Ok. Pint of Keo at Isaacs was CY£1.50 this year...not sure about coke, don't touch the stuff  guess about CY£1.00.

Beer in Pernera/Protaras (Isaacs is in Pernera) varies from about CY£1 a pint to about CY£2.00 depending on where you are.

Hello Mdaly1,

You mentioned before that you would be visiting the marine park with dolphins and sealions. Do you have a website for this?

Thank you. :D

I have to say, Ayia Napa Waterpark is simply FANTASTIC! :yipee

We tend to spend the whole day there........ couldnt do that with the Protaras one though....... looks too small to me.
Okay for a couple of hours i suppose

Tip if you go to the Ayia Napa Waterpark....... we tend to go midweek, as on a weekend the local Cypriots tend to go there aswell...... the queues tend to be EXTREMELY long........ much quieter (but still busy) during the week.

There are lockers there so you can put in your belongings whilst you use the slides etc...... the cafe part tends to be quite expensive, but if i remember right, you are not allowed to take in your own food

We usually have a big breakfast before going in, and just buy snacks whilst there. This usually "sets us up" for the day..... until our evening meal time arrives. We do take our own water in the Park though

It looks great. I can not wait until I go in September. Thanks for the mid week tip Cookie1. Its always expensive once you are in these places

mdaly1-I noticed on the other thread that you weren't impressed by the Protaras waterpark. To be fair it isn't a great photo so I would check the place out before you decide. It is only a few minutes walk from the Isaac and you will pass it anytime you head into the main area of Protaras.I personally am not a fan of waterparks but as my daughter was only 7 or 8 at the time we thought it would be ok for her rather than Ayia Napa. The fact that it wasn't busy was a big plus for us as where we were staying was chocabloc at the pool side so it was heaven getting a sunbed where you wanted and a huge pool with plenty of space so it does have it's good points. If you are eating out at night there is a good restaurant just along the road from you heading into Pernera called Noufaro. The staff are very friendly, the food is good value and there is a little play park for the kids which will keep them amused while you are eating. There is a Flintstones pub on the top main road as well which will keep the kids happy for a while also.

The Flinstones place is great for kids....... especially younger ones :)
They have a corner, in the back, but where you can see your kids, where they play cartoons, have video games for them to play on etc. You can enjoy yourselves, and relax and have a drink, while your kids are
entertained :P
Good point about Protaras Waterpark dav aswell...... sometimes you have to "fight" for a sunbed around the Pool, thats true, so to go somewhere like this is ideal..... free sunbeds and a Pool for your kids. Sorted!
As my children are older though, i think they would get bored of the Protaras Waterpark pretty quick..... great if you have younger kids though, or if youre a couple wanting to relax a little. :D

Hi Mdaly1, i stayed at the Hotel Paschalia in June there and our apartment looked into that Protaras FunPark (as its called) and it looked really rubbish ... and it was empty every day ! The rides didnt look very safe and there must have been about 2 lifeguards for the 5-6 slides that they have there. A couple that we met on holiday went to it and said that the slides didnt have much water going down them and their rubber rings got stuck a couple of times going down them.

Have to agree with the others .. go to the Agia Napa one .. the wee bus that runs thru Protaras takes you there for 70c and brings you back as well. That waterpark is the best ive been to ... the slides were brilliant !!

Remember something for your feet though as the ground is boiling hot !!

Any other questions just ask ??

Cheers
