Don't make us jealous rwb we're in the middle of a heavy snowstorm here at the moment. Roll on Easter when hopefully we'll be having sunshine in Benidorm.

I think it is a little unfair to people that like to keep records of these things, that we have reports from rbw46 on the weather for the 9th, 10th, 12th, 13th and 14th of February.

What happened on the 11th?

Were you not paying attention on that day, or are you just teasing us?

Sort it out!

gosh you are thinking well ahead kaz!!!. The weather isnt too bad in October, you can have good as well as bad days but it wont be freezing, probably need a fleece during the evening or a cardigan

I know this question has been asked loads of times but I have read posts where they are saying it is freezing we have been in Benidorm many times in December,January,February and March and never found it being freezing, the temperature where we are is between 1 centigrade at night to about 10 centigrade during the day,we were in Lanzarote in February 2007 and it was so cold we had to have a heater brought to our apartment just hoping we are not going to have another episode like that can anyone give us an idea of what the temperature is like in benidorm at the moment.

Freezing ? Have you read that in this forum ? I wonder if perhaps those comments refer to what holidaymakers are jetting off from in the UK, rather than what they are going to in Spain. The links on page 1 of this topic should give you an idea of current temperatures and forecasts for the Costa Blanca.

I agree that there is confusion, and perhaps exaggeration about the temperatures in the Costa Blanca.

I think that some posters are getting their readings from the digital thermometers in the streets which are notorious for being inaccurate, rather than actually watching or reading the weather reports. I also believe that some people have exaggerated the conditions, perhaps for some sort of childish one-upmanship. For some, I believe that they are posting how hot they think it is, rather than the actual temperature.

This winter has been long and particularly unpleasant.

I suppose it might have been OK for sitting in a heated hotel, but if you were renting an apartment you would have wanted some sort of heating to keep warm. You would not have wanted to venture into the sea or an unheated swimming pool.

We have had the occasional days between late October and now where you may have caught a few hours where it was warm enough to venture onto a beach, but these times have been rare, certainly more so than previous years. It has not been warm enough to sit outside to eat or drink in the evenings, and there have only been a few days where you would feel comfortable sitting out during the day, and on those occasions you would not have wanted to be in the shade.

The weather today, and for the last few days has been overcast with frequent rain and strong winds, daytime temperatures have been around 17 degrees. Evenings drop to single figures.

The good news is that things are set to improve (which is probably stating the obvious at this time of year), and the weather should start warming up nicely in a few weeks time.
