We only took a Kodak under water camera with us and i wouldnt recommend them for anyone who hasnt got a dearer one, the photos were wishy washy and poor quality i'm afraid. If fish is what you are going on your holiday for, you need a really good one, hence the advice above.

Just been reading everyone's advice about underwater cameras. Quick question:- Does anyone know if there are any hight street shops that sell aquapacs (in London) or are they only available on the web.

Cheers,

Jane

Hi!

I've never seen them in any shops in all honesty...although on the High Street i doubt they'd have the 30% discount that you can get from that link.... http://www.ifsogo.com

I got one for my camcorder form them and it was all ok.

Hello!

the only thing I'd add if doing alot of snorkelling is to get an Aquapac....some people are spending over £100 for a housing for their digital camera, but these aquapacs do exacyl the same job and cost about £16 depending on which one you get. To have an underwater digital camera is brilliant, that way any rubbish shots you take you can just delete rather than waiting till you develop the disposable one,

Hi Lisa,

I have to add to your post above - we've been let down by an underwater digital camera we bought on e-bay, and only found out it wouldn't be delivered in time last friday, (we travel to sharm tomorrow!). So i ordered an aquapack for our sony digital camera from ifsogo.com on saturday and it arrived on Tuesday!!!! I was amazed by the speed of delivery & it means that we can still take really good underwater photos (hopefully!) this year. Thanks for the link.

Hi Tills,

It does take a couple of practice shots but the results are great.

Have a lovely time :)

Hi,
Just wanted to ask a quick question about the aquapac, does it hold any type of digital camera and how does it work? Housing for my camera is £130!

Hi Katielind,

As far as I can figure out, it holds any type of camera. Theres a compact aquapc for little digital cameras (I've got a little digital olympus zoom and it fits in fine in the compact aquapc) and then theres a bigger one for larger/longer zoom cameras, however I called ifsogo just to double check mine would fit in the compact, so might be worth you doing the same for peace of mind - I'd hate to tell you the small one fits if it ends up that it doesn't!

I want to buy a waterproof cover for my dig camera but can't afford a 'proper' one

Has anyone ever used the cheap covers as seen on http://www.ifsogo.com made by aquapac?

I'd really like to use my camera for taking piccies while I'm in the water :D

Hi Pippy,

I've got both the camera aquapac and the camcorder aquapac from ifsogo and both work a treat. If you are worried just try it quickly in your sink at home and you'll see it's totally waterproof. Also, as I've said to others, make sure you hold the camera tightly to avoid warbled shots....but after half a dozen pics I'd mastered it and I'm rubbish with technology!

I have an Aquapac. Will try it properly soon, but took it in the pool last week just full of air. It's certainly waterproof.

Having a swimming pool BBQ at our local outdoor pool on Friday - perhaps I'll take a few pics then...

Won't it put the BBQ out if you have it in the pool Alan? :hmmm

ok i know i'm slow but i'm just going to order the aquapac. i'm sure that there was another post on here about the "desiccant sachets" that come with the pack.( i can't find the post now!) sorry to go over it again but the pack comes with one sachet is this enough or should i get some more and if so where do i get them from. thanks medot.xx

Hi Medot,

I got 2 tiny desiccant sachets with my Aqua Pack. I ordered extra from E-bay. Just do a search for "Silica Gel" or "desiccant sachets" and you'll find plenty for sale - and very cheap. I got 10 large packs for £5!

Hope this helps
