Hi bluemax, & anyone else going out soon, have a great time - we plan to.
Local folklore type forecast is a bit more of the cloudy(ish) mornings and hot afternoons next week!!!
Temp is falling to about 19/20 in the evening and very light wraps are appearing around ladies shoulders in restaurants from about 9.00 onwards!
Thanks virginpaul, will take a light cardi. What would we all do without this site!
Thanks for that Paul, leaving the brolly behind now just about to pack my case - 2 more sleeps and we'll be there!
We're going on Tuesday, have been watching the weather forecast like a hawk, just not bothered now................rain or shine at least we'll be away.
Thankfully only one more week to go!!!!!!!!!!
Even if it does rain at least I'll be on holiday where I can relax! No more washing, cooking, ironing, cleaning (within reason), going to work, listening to customers moan and groan!!!!!
Tickets are ready, cases are open, last bit of ironing this weekend, just got last few toiletries from chemists, cameras all in chargers, passports checked there in date thousand times!!
Anybody would think I was 5 years old how excited I'm getting! Even starting to watch tv travel channels to get the atmos
Crazy I know - but I love my hols!! Can't wait!!
The weather forecast can't be for the entire island - plus if you go onto BBC website and put in Palma de Mallorca the forecast is good!
So that's the website I'm using from now on!!
Yesterday we had a rainstorm from about 3.00 until 3.50 or so. Then it came clear and warm again!! The fiesta beach party / free pop concert and fireworks all went off during a beautiful still, warm (about 22/23 degrees) evening.
This morning the (quite normal) overcast skies and temps of about 24 already (9.00).
Might be the odd shower (some of which can be quite heavy) this week but it's warm water (!!) and the bars and restaurants provide haven whilst it passes!!
Also the weather forecasts say rain but are you still managing to get plenty of sun in between?
Yes, entertainment still running in SP and of course Magaluf (don't miss Goodfellows). Don't know about the Neil Diamond evening but plenty of good acts (Stepps very good in SP).
Just a shameless plug for Churchills Bar in SP, which is my local. A Sport, Soaps and good conversation bar!!
Hi where should I look for the weather here alcudia or ?? thank you
We're over there tomorrow, thought I was organised but still got loads to do !!!!!! Don't mind a bit of rain but a nice suntan would be lovely to come back with
Classylady, I don't know what you mean. If you mean what location is it close to Porto Colom is the nearest 'town' but the weather in Alcudia is generally similar as both are to the East of the island. Forecasts are a bit of a waste of time - it can be wall to wall blue one minute and within 15 minutes it can be grey and raining. However no rain around at moment and about 32 degrees.
Cheers Paul, Just what I wanted to hear, you're a star.....................will get out there and enjoy no matter what!!!! I've found a good website that says theres only a slight chance of rain on most of the days we're there, so guess I'm gonna go with that........lol
What website did you find?
there was a problem with the airport carousels on sat so the place was bedlam for all incoming and outgoing flights . ( so i stayed another night to avoid the wait )
Found the A2ZMajorca.............will post the link when I have time (and know for certain how to do these things) it looked a bit better than the link that was posted here, but it's looking a bit grim now not to worry, will be out there enjoying a break no matter what.
i'm flying out in the morning and am really disapointed at the weather forecast .i spent a holiday before in ibiza in october and it was brilliant weather.the forecasts do seem to change daily though, just hope there is some sunny windows over the next week.taking the kids away for there first holiday abroad.
sorry forgot to mention , we were delayed for an hour on sunday because of thunder storms stopping takeoff so there was a que of planes waiting to go
looks like the weather is better here in kent , really wish i booked tenerife .just did not want to take the kids on a longer flight.thunderstorms and rain for the next 10 days forecast on every weathersite .
