jewellery is normally guaranteed for 12 months - if you still have this guarantee take it back and they should repair with no quibbles
I know which jewellers you mean. It has been there for years so I dont think you will have any trouble with your repair or exchange.
Thanks for responce feel a lot happier now
which shops are best in these resorts for jewellery and i remember once reading on here a reasonable price per gram to pay for gold- but can't think what it was any advice from anyone please?
Not sure about prices, but the best shop we found in Hisaronu was OZ GOLD on the high street, really reasonable and a gentleman. Also there is one opposite the Mosque it lays back on a corner they have some fabulous jewellery, but Oz gold will make anything you want in a couple of days.
I bought a beautiful ring from Oz Gold last year. When I tried it on it didn't fit and they said they could size it down in 10 minutes or so. Whilst we waited they brought my husband a cold beer and my son and I some apple tea - brilliant service. The ring was really reasonable, it's a mixture of white and yellow gold with some little diamonds.
The staff were fantastic, they also bought us cold beers and cleaned our jewellery while we waited.
Good luck

my daughter got her engagement ring last year from oz gold and was well pleased with it, friendly staff, so we went in and bought a few pieces from them too, happy with what i bought too
please remember gold is at an all time high in the world so gold in turkey has risen quite alot so the bargains are not so cheap now but gold is still a better quality than in the uk so please shop with care
Quite a small shop, when you walked in the door it was 15 foot to the back wall, but then quite long. Really nice man in there.
Her ring is still looking great, and she loves it, saying even if it wasn't worth a lot, she stills likes it. So i'm looking at maybe getting her something else from there. Obviously I don't want to go back and pay over the odds for something which is worthless.
I'm just wondering if anyone knows if it's still there and if he's reputable?
If that makes any sense to anyone, a reply would be appreciated
Well i've found out the place is called Jacob's, if that's any help!
Can anyone help please. We are going to Olu DeniZ next weekend. Last year my Diamond engagement cluster ring lost a stone, I was told it would cost about £60 in turkey, I didn't get it done and on returning home found that it would cost £120. I haven't had it repaired as we are returning but I am wary of knowing if the diamond will be real, especially in view of a previous post about moissan diamonds testing as real. Are there seperate machines and how do I know if £60 is a good price in turkey it was the first one I was offered and we didn't haggle. Also can anyone recommend the best places to go in Olu, Hisaronu or Fethiye please. Thanks very much
tell him john said to come to you he will prob give a bit of discount good luck and hope all goes well
This may take some explaining but here goes. My hubby lost his dad in Feb this year and was promised his fathers buckle ring. Due to a family rift he never resieved it. While in Icmeler in May, our Son decided he wanted a buckle ring to remember his Grandad by and went to a jewellers behind the Buffalo Bar in Icmeler who made hand made jewellery. He explained what he wanted and was told to return that night at 9-pm. What a fantastic job they had done, it was brilliant. Of course, i saw hubbys face and asked why he didn't have one made? He said he only liked wearing his wedding ring and didn't like too much jewellery on a man.So, I said. Take your wedding ring off, have more Gold melted down and then it can have 2 meanings, our marriage and your dad !!! He was over the moon. When we returned that night at midnight (yes, they stayed open to finish it) He was over the moon. The ring was fantastic and so was the price. £70. Well worth the money for what the rings meant to hubby and our son. They also made a baby bangle for our little grand-daughter, solis silver for £30. I am drawing pics daily of what i want when we return in Aug. Bye Anna.
Thanks maverick/John , I'll have a look there. It seems there are good prices but as I don't know when we will return again I want to make sure its a real diamond. Also thanks Annabelle, its our 20th Anniversary so I am looking for a gold ring, but something unusual, I don't have any particular design in mind, but I'll know it when I see it. Cheers .

MrsR123 (who knows about these things) say the Silver she got in Icmeler was top notch and very good value,
