We had room 209 apart from having to hold shower spray and not use hairdryer the room was okay. Great Italian if you head towards the house go thru the little side road you have lotus to your right food nice you will come to Chinese, steak house which is good food (don't know about Chinese) Italian is opposite. If you can find Marbella just down road from trakia hotel can highly recommend.

We went all inclusive .we found beer half litre glass 1.50 lev what is around 40p at lots of bars we also ate out a lot because the food was so cheap , food at hotel was good also microwave if u want to have your food red hot .
Seemingly one of the best restaurants was the steakhouse next door to the Marvel, which closed up for the end of season two days after we arrived so didn't get to try it, top tip for the Marvel would be to put their staff on a course to learn how to be polite and engage with holiday makers, at the end of the day it's us who pay their wages!!!
They just didn't care.

Some areas require attention to detail. (Bad pavement areas)
Beaches have good facilities safe for children and quite clean.
For a get away from it all day visit Irakli Beach. A Natural 7 kilometres of sandy beach. Not much in the way of facilities but hey its great to be away from the crowds!

this review is my personal opinion, not that of my partner.. this was my first visit to bulgaria.. just one stall (sorry, shed) after another plying the same cheap "tack" and what seemed never-ending market stalls, some of which, in fairness, appeared to offer a better quality of goods.. liked the beach and especially liked the prices of the resort..
having now said these things, i admit i would go to bulgaria again (perhaps a different resort though), it felt really good to relax in a restaurant for a couple of hours, to eat and drink and chat with no concern of when the bill arrives.

the sunnybeach area is clean and tidy which is amazing as the number of bars, cafe and restaurants and now fastfood chains,
there are miles of sand to walk along with a warm nontidal sea to swim in.the area around ranges from woods to grass lands with grapes growing everywhere as we love wildlife there is something new to see each day
cant wait to our next visit to find something new to do

Sunny beach has many detractors as well as supporters, it is after all an entertainment hub. It has to cater for the young and old.
Despite its contradictory reputation it remains a popular destination for many people and caters for all, no matter the size of individual budgets.
The resort does have a problem with keeping up a good standard of cleanliness, due I think to the amount of people using the resort and the apparent lack of investment in the resorts infrastructure especially the pavements.
The resort management need to look to investing more for the future, if the resort wishes to keep attracting more potential holiday makers.
On the plus side, the beach appears to be beautifully maintained, though the people who use it are now complaining of the relatively high cost to hire sun beds etc, as they claim the people who run the hire business are becoming too greedy.
The entertainment is many and varied in the resort, it has its quiet spots and its very loud and busy spots, you take your pick.
It is and has been a good place to holiday, it now needs to up it's game and be managed in a more professional and structured way if it wishes to compete and be more successful in attracting and maintaining a good holiday experience for holiday makers.

We stayed in the quieter end of Sunny Beach, I think we would of prefered to be where the more night life was. We were close to the Lazur night club and a few bars but the other end of Sunny Beach had much more bars with music and singers and entertainers etc. We could of walked there but the temperature was still 30 degrees at night so walking about was tiring. The beach was clean but the sea had a lot of seaweed in it. The beach sports were good and reasonably prices. There were tons of shops selling 'cheap' desinger clothes and hangbags etc. The pancakes stalls along the many streets were fab. The Sunny Beach resort in huge with many streets of shops and bars. I think if we went again i would head for the other end but where our hotel was located was ok and still quite busy!

We stayed on the outskirts but it was still noisy in the middle of the night. You need an air-conditioned room so that you can shut the doors! It reminded me of aa very OTT Blackpool! The beach was very clean but you have to pay for beds or use the free zone away from the shoreline.
There is lots to do - the aquapark is excellent and the Hotel Kuban has good slides for older children. I would recommend a trip to Nessebar - full of craft shops and lovely views. You can get there by local bus.

the main promonade is like blackpool with many tacky shops selling stuff you wouldnt buy at home , but hey your on holiday so buy it , we did lol. truthfuly there are some bargains to be had, many skanks and fakes to be had also.alot of the pavements look like they have been through an earthquake so watch your toes , in the early hours the main prom becomes very dirty with over flowing bins , and many a prostitute some of wich look around 90yrs old. lots of child gypsy beggers also through the day and night, who we saw being picked up in brand new mercs so they aint in need .
the beach is cleaned nightly althugh being over run with sunbeds and umbrellers which you pay about a tenner a day for 2 beds and umbrella.
lots of bars , manywith offers , cheaper ones are on the streat behind the main streat amd the more expensive are in flower st
at night it aint a safe place to be on yuour own in the early ours and if i take my daughters next year they will not be out on there own ,after 2 am but hey isnt that the same in any resort that has nearly 1000 bars in a 2 mile stretch? all in all we will be back next year , but you have to decide yourselves dont you,
we area young 43 and 40 yr old couple ,if this helps your understanding of our comments.
this resort has evrything for all ages though from 18 to 30 holidays pub craws , and many a nice restraunt and chill out coctail bars also. enjoy your stay
