All rooms are good, but the pool side is best. the hotel food is very good and has a great choice to choose from.

We had room 209 apart from having to hold shower spray and not use hairdryer the room was okay. Great Italian if you head towards the house go thru the little side road you have lotus to your right food nice you will come to Chinese, steak house which is good food (don't know about Chinese) Italian is opposite. If you can find Marbella just down road from trakia hotel can highly recommend.

Seemingly one of the best restaurants was the steakhouse next door to the Marvel, which closed up for the end of season two days after we arrived so didn't get to try it, top tip for the Marvel would be to put their staff on a course to learn how to be polite and engage with holiday makers, at the end of the day it's us who pay their wages!!!
They just didn't care.
We went all inclusive .we found beer half litre glass 1.50 lev what is around 40p at lots of bars we also ate out a lot because the food was so cheap , food at hotel was good also microwave if u want to have your food red hot .

Keep away please.
No never they need to take more notice of there guest than sit talking to each other pool bar you had to pay for drinks and 5 minute walk to get another drink in a plastic cup even when to stayed in the lobby

Sunny Beach is a fab, lively and cheap place for a Sunny Holiday. The beach is fantastic, the sea is lovely (although some days there seemed to be quite a lot of little jellyfish!) The pubs, bars and restaurants are plentiful and varied. Yes there are loads of fellas outside them trying to get your custom, but if you have a smile and a wave for them they are a good laugh! The wally trolley road trains are a godsend after a long day exploring and many times saved our energy for a grand night out.
A trip to Nessebur is a must!

Resort was clean, there were some good groups in some of the cafes we ate in. Beach was clean but full of sunbeads -nowhere really to play in the sand if one had children -just row after row of sunbeds packed tightly together. Locals are friendly. Too many "shops" all selling the same things. Were charged double for taxi from airport to resort- on a meter)-half that price on the way back. Virtually everywhere charged for use of toilets-even if you were eating there

Having heard mixed revies on Sunny Beach we tried to go with an open mind. The beach is absolutely lovely clean with lovely fine sand ideal for children. We watched from our hotel room every night as a tractor and drag would clean and smooth the sand not too many places do that!
To me the resort lacks character the people are really trying but the resaurants and shops lack vine leaves and flowers growing up them, I wish the shops and stalls had been built more in keeping with Bulgarian wooden house ( as in Nesseber village) it reminds me of clean but run down British seaside town, the only thing you can buy from what seems like hundreds of stall or shops is fake designer gear (which wasn't to bad for us as we have 3 teenage children to buy presents for!! but if it wasn't for that I don@t no what we would have done.
I really think Bulgaria will struggle if it goes to the euro because the prices are so low especially food and drink and this is what is bringing people there. listening on the plane on the way home was quite a laugh most people were talking about the price of drinks and seemed to know a whole range off by heart!! as if this was the only reason for going there (it probabley was!!)Sunny Beach needs more character in my opion they should take a closer look at their neighbours the Turkish if they want to get the right sort of people to go there time after time. Less tack more character!!

Something for everyone here. Pubs, clubs, karaoke bars, kid friendly pubs. Unbelievably clean beaches and lots of getaway trips if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of such a busy resort. Adult entertainment also available for those allowed to see it!

There were a lot of bins around the resort and it was reasonably clean, the footpaths were in a poor state and the streetlighting wasnt good in some places so you had to watch your footing and I decided against wearing high heels to go out at night.
The entertainment in the restuarnts and bars around the resort was poor, usually a man and woman playing the keyboard and singing badly, but we did book a trip to Khans Tent, which was excellent the show was amazing and the food was the best we ate all holiday.
The beach was clean the beds and parasols were quite expensive in relation to the cost of everything else but still very cheap. Our rep advised us that you got charged to sit on the beach even if you didnt want a bed.
We did not see and dancing bears, reptiles or ladies of the night and there were a few beggars but not half as many was we expected.

Well its the 3rd time I've visited Sunny Beach in 18 months, so that says something.
Resorts very clean as theres Bulgarian ladies out from 7am sweeping the streets.
Wide range of entertainment to suit all ages, in numerous bars. Good cheap food in restaurants with polite waiters.
Beach is very clean with lifeguards every 100m along the beach, loads of shops for shopping, with a wide range of nik naks, street artists copying photos, in oils, pastels excellent value for money.
Definitley go back, in fact booked again to return in May 06.

Sunny beach has been our first holiday abroad.
The roads, streets & walkways are kept kleen daily, not realy suitable for the disabled with high kerb stones, and in areas the paving is crumbling in places which sometimes make walking difficult.
We shall be visiting you again !!!

This was my first visit to Sunny Beach & I have to say that I was not that impressed.
The beach is lovely, clean & plenty of room, but I thought that the charges for sunbeds/parasols was a bit excessive.
But the resort itself didn't have that much to offer!
Bit of a building site with half finished buildings everywhere.
Too many tee-shirt or shoe stalls selling the same stuff & too many restaurants with touts in the street trying to get you in. Not enough quiet bars where you can have a drink & a chat.
Loved Nessebar, would definitely go back there, but not back to Sunny Beach...........sorry!

This place is very clean and resort beach is just miles of golden sands. The thing that we did not like was seeing 6 year old kids begging at 12pm.
I would vist Sunny Beach again. The best meal that we had was HC Andersons just around the corner from the Fenix and the steaks were great.
