We had room 209 apart from having to hold shower spray and not use hairdryer the room was okay. Great Italian if you head towards the house go thru the little side road you have lotus to your right food nice you will come to Chinese, steak house which is good food (don't know about Chinese) Italian is opposite. If you can find Marbella just down road from trakia hotel can highly recommend.

We went all inclusive .we found beer half litre glass 1.50 lev what is around 40p at lots of bars we also ate out a lot because the food was so cheap , food at hotel was good also microwave if u want to have your food red hot .
Seemingly one of the best restaurants was the steakhouse next door to the Marvel, which closed up for the end of season two days after we arrived so didn't get to try it, top tip for the Marvel would be to put their staff on a course to learn how to be polite and engage with holiday makers, at the end of the day it's us who pay their wages!!!
They just didn't care.

No never they need to take more notice of there guest than sit talking to each other pool bar you had to pay for drinks and 5 minute walk to get another drink in a plastic cup even when to stayed in the lobby
Keep away please.

Nice beach but jelly fish in the sea!
Easy enough to get a spot in September. men hanging around the beach with snakes and a crocodile trying to get you to have photos taken...found that animals were exploited in sunny beach, frustrating.
Found generally that people could be quite rude in the shops and fast food outlets, no smiles and some rude comments. asked by one gentlemen (rudely) to remove some rubbish outside his shop that we hadnt even dropped!!!
One extremely wet and stormy day a shop owner pushed us all out in the rain and shut his shop as he didnt like us sheltering in there.
Resort very cheap! beer 75p! but you have to pay to use all toilets, even in restaurants and bars, very silly!
A few clubs but quite quiet, wouldnt recommend for groups of teens or early twentys. Harrassed quite a bit to go into bars and cafes but they do take no for an answer. It appeared that people were only polite when they wanted something from you!!

Sunny Beach is a very clean resort and you will see street sweepers in abundance keeping it clean.
The beach would be excellent but I wish people wouldn't just stubb out cigarettes in the sand and leave them, I think this spoils it for the majority of people and certainly spoils it for me.
Resort is expanding at a rate of knots and has become very busy but most restaurants/bars still only have a singer or duo entertaining. Saying that, one did have a magican one as a change.
Thoroughly enjoyed it and will definately come back.

Cleanliness, not enough litter bins.
Entertainment - resort seems to be turning from a family resort to a young persons resort.
As I am visially impaired I found the state of the paths and roads quite poor.

Have just returned from a 2-week holiday in Sunny Beach. If you’re into sun bathing, swimming, shopping, eating and drinking, providing the weather holds, then this is the place for you.
If you like a bit of history or culture, then stay well away, there is nothing in the way of museums, churches or anything that would suggest you were in Bulgaria.
We were very unlucky and had 4 consecutive bad days and that is when we discovered that there is absolutely nothing and I do mean nothing to do, as you can only walk around the stalls or pop in for a coffee or beer so many times in one day.
As for the resort itself, it is over 3 mile from the north to the south and is very clean and flat, so suitable for anyone with walking difficulties. The only problem you might have is that the paving around the centre is very uneven and broken in places.
The northern and central parts are the most commercial; we found the southern end to be best and cheapest for both shops and bars/restaurants.
The beach is very safe and clean but we did see a lot of Jellyfish, but it didn’t deter anyone from swimming. We also saw on the promenade people with snakes, baby crocks and even a bear, the best thing to do is just keep walking and if every one did this it might put a stop to this cruelty.
When choosing your hotel, don’t compare the star rating to that of European standards. For 2*, don’t think about it, for 3* think average 2*, for 4* think good 2* or average 3*, for 5* think good 3* or average 4*.
The food at most of the hotels is very poor and would suggests going bed and breakfast and even then, eat out, as a full English will only set you back about £2 and an evening meal for 2 consisting of a couple of drinks, two courses and a bottle of good wine will only cost you about £10 to £15. If you live on burgers, fish & chips or pizza then you could very easily live on less than £10 a day (English Breakfast, lunch & evening meal).
All the restaurants have entertainment in the way of a singer or band, but this plus a couple of discos is the only entertainment. The price of everything is very cheap and you will find it hard to spend your money. We usually spend (for 2) over £1000, on food, drink, car hire and trips; we struggled to spend £400.
We enjoyed our holiday in Sunny Beach and are glad we’ve been, but will not be going back.

The resort is great, really really cheap. Me and my girlfriend normally take about £1800 for a 2 week holiday, we spent just over £850 between us on this one, and we ate out every morning and evening, and drank most nights. The resort is very clean, the employ people to clean the streets in the morning and evening. The beach is not as clean as I would have liked, there are ciggy stumps everwhere. Not much entertainment, there is bingo in the topicana bar and the jack pot is over £500 (but the bingo caller is annoying!) The Hotels on the fornt are nice, I liked the look of the Globus hotel (my friend stayed there)
The local larger kept me on the toilet for the first week! so be warned. There are a lot of beggars on the streets and they use there kids, watch out for the pick pockets (beggers) espesially the kids. You dont get harrassed as much as you do in Spain by reps or restaurant owners and the bulgarian people are very nice.
I will be going back for a week next as it is so cheap.

The resort of sunny beach is very clean, the beach is clean but the sun beds with a sun umbrella cost 18lev a day which is about £6 a day. There is not alot to do in sunny beach and not alot of entertainment it is an ideal place to go if you are a couple without children as there is nothing for them to do there, but ideal for couples as it is cheap booze and cheap food

Sunny Beach was a lovely resort but the weather was terrible when we were there it was cold and raining we had to buy coats to wear both day and night.
All the bars are open so it was difficult finding anywhere enclosed at night, so you could have a drink without freezing we would not visit at this time of year again.

The resort was like Blackpool but a lot cleaner, the pubs were good with nearly all having some form of music playing. The beach was very clean but if you wanted a sunbed you had to pay 6 Levs(about £2 each) and 6 Levs if you wanted the brolly which if you wanted one everyday became quite expensive. Nessebar was a loveley fishing town and would recommend any one going to Bulgaria to visit this place and eat at a restaurant called Zornitza.

Sunny Beach itself, is a purpose built resort, which apparently turns into a ghost town at the end of the season. It was kept clean, and so was the beach. Plenty of bars and places to eat, although we didn't eat out. There appeared to be a range of entertainment, although we didn't do much apart from laze at our hotel!
The beach and sea were great, sea shallow and warm and great for paddling with little ones. The only downside was that most of the area close to the sea was taken up with sunbeds which, in comparision to everything else, were quite expensive, 24 lev for 3 sunbeds and an umbrella.
We would possibly visit this resort again, but would be more likely choose another area so we could actually see a bit of Bulgaria.
