We had room 209 apart from having to hold shower spray and not use hairdryer the room was okay. Great Italian if you head towards the house go thru the little side road you have lotus to your right food nice you will come to Chinese, steak house which is good food (don't know about Chinese) Italian is opposite. If you can find Marbella just down road from trakia hotel can highly recommend.

We went all inclusive .we found beer half litre glass 1.50 lev what is around 40p at lots of bars we also ate out a lot because the food was so cheap , food at hotel was good also microwave if u want to have your food red hot .
Seemingly one of the best restaurants was the steakhouse next door to the Marvel, which closed up for the end of season two days after we arrived so didn't get to try it, top tip for the Marvel would be to put their staff on a course to learn how to be polite and engage with holiday makers, at the end of the day it's us who pay their wages!!!
They just didn't care.

No never they need to take more notice of there guest than sit talking to each other pool bar you had to pay for drinks and 5 minute walk to get another drink in a plastic cup even when to stayed in the lobby
Keep away please.

The resort - Sunny Beach - is a very modern concrete jungle.
If you like quaint cobbled streets, culture, cafes, nice shops and maybe even a little bit of history, then this is not the place for you. All the shops are full of fake bags, clothes, shoes, DVD's and CD's. There are plenty of eating and drinking places.
Please be aware that there a quite a few beggars, tramps and gypsies in the area.

Around the beach area resort ok otherwise the surrounding street and roads were poor we had had rain and the drains very blocked flooding the roads making it difficult to make your way around, on one occasion part of a road had sunk leaving a gaping hole and a plastic chair had been stuck in to stop you falling down it.
The building work was horrendous so many hotels being built on top of one another dust and rubble everywhere seems this will be going on for a long time as a lot hotels are far from finished and from our hotel the only view we had was looking onto 7 hotels one being built at the moment which was a matter of feet away.
I did not like going on the beach front due to locals parading with snakes, lizards, crocodiles and dancing bears cruelly being poked in the testicles with some sort of electric probe to make them dance.
Picket pockets and bags being slashed by locals who look like they are tourists so you are totally unaware who to look out for this being both female and male so need to be on your guard all the time and unable to relax.
We were told by the rep it was a waste of telling the police as they would not understand and do anything about it.
Prostitutes are available at all times if this is your scene you may have a good holiday.

Loads of choices to eat and drink. Everyone promenades along the front at night. Free and pay area to the beach

The resort itself we found to be scruffy and in need of repair, pavements, especially for wheelchair users, were a nightmare.
The first week of our holiday the weather was very poor and we found it difficult in finding anything to do outside the perimeter of our hotel.
Eating out would I imagine prove to be quite difficult, shops/units selling mostly goods imported from Turkey.
The beach is lovely, though jellyfish can be a problem and all sun beds and shades have to be paid for, 6 leva per item. Life guards are in attendance and there are numerous beach bars selling drinks and snacks quite cheaply.
All in all we had a great holiday, but we will not be returning in the foreseeable future, as I said earlier the resort has a long way to go when catering for Europeans.

Elenite is a up & coming resort
Entertaiment based around the hotels, though Sunny Beach is only approx 20/25mins away with plenty of bars & restaurants, very cheap place to eat out.
Beach brilliant plenty of sunloungers & parsols and very clean

This resort is a lively place probably aimed at 18 to 30 year olds the beach was nice and clean but quite crowded.
The most annoying thing is the constant pushiness to buy things or eat at a certain restaurant.
Lots of building work going on too.i would visit again but would prefer something a bit quieter and less tacky.

some people have stated that there is lots to do in Sunny Beach. Well there is if you like going on scooters, driving up and down on golf cars, bungee jumping (practically every 3rd street attraction). There are hundreds of bars and restaurant to try but as the food was so good at our Hotel we have no recommendations as to where to try apart from the Cocktail Bar of the Glarus Hotel (opposite the Regine Hotel) the staff especially Vania are very welcoming and if your looking for a nice cup of tea please visit the tea is only 1 lev!
The resort is full of stalls selling fake designer clothing although some of it seems to be quite good quality but every other stall sells the same things, clothing, russian & bulgarian dolls, bags etc. There are hundreds of these stalls throughout the resort but if you fancy buying you have to shop around as the prices vary tremendously. If you go to Central the shopping area near the bus station and Kuban hotel the shops here are more expensive than the rest of Sunny Beach.
The shops in Nessebar are much cheaper than in Sunny Beach and Nessebar is worth a visit it's a lovely wee place and there are some nice places toeat but Avoid the "panorama' the staff were not so friendly and the food wasn't either but there are plenty of excellent places to try. If your into architecture and history you'll find plenty to occupy you here and there are museums everywhere. We went to nessebar about 6 times in our fortnight as it was so cheap on the bus. We went to Bourgas a couple of times it was OK but nothing special.
Overall we had a great holiday but we think this was more down to the facilities at the Hotel as we did get really fed up walking through the shopping areas play dodge the golf cart some of these idiots drive really fast in these crowded areas some had been drinking but the problem is the golf buggy's and scooters are practically silent so it can be quite frightening when they creep up behind you.
A word of warning - do not change money in any of the street booths. Please use your hotel or a bank. Our hotel did not charge commission and we got avery good rate. We witnessed a few people in Sunny Beach and Nessebar being pushed about by some Russian Heavies because they dared to question that some of their money was missing when they used the booths the exchange rate is displayed with a sign stating 'no commission' but there guys please themselves and keep almost half of what you should get for themselves. You have been warned and the more people that know, the less people get hurt and have their holiday ruined.
Hope you have a great time when you go.

I had been warned about the amount of building work going on in the resort, and was prepared for a lot of disruption. However all building work has been stopped for the season, with only minor works being carried out inside ie.plastering.
You do get stopped a lot from people canvassing you to get you into their restaurants which gets a bit annoying after a while.
The beach is lovely and the sea is beautiful to swim in, and my kids loved it.

What an excellent place Sunny Beach is, plenty to do plenty to eat, prices very cheap for food and drink.
Loads of shops and stalls selling good cheap copies of clothes handbags purses DVD CD.
Would certainly go there again on holiday but before they go into Europe when the prices will go up.
