We loved Ayia Napa. It had everything a couple in their 20's could want. Plenty of shops, bars and restaurants. Not to mention the clubs! It was about a 20 minute walk into the centre from the hotel and there was always some shop to stop in, or a bar for a drink along the way. It was clean, tidy and we felt safe walking back at 4am, something we can't do here in Kent! We didn't eat out as we were all inclusive, but we could tell there would have been some lovely places to try! Best bars/clubs we went to were Castle Club, Carwash, Bedrock, Senior Frogs (get on one of the swings!) and Lineker's. Top tip for when you get collared by one of the PRs: wait to see which bar they are trying to pull you into, when they ask where you are going, say you're going to a different one next door. They will beg and plead with you to go in their one. Stand firm and say no. Now they will offer you a voucher for their bar - either offering some free shots, buy one get one free, or tickets for free entry to a club later on (and sometimes all 3!) Bingo! Now you can have your free drinks and then carry on your merry way to the next silly PR person and get your new round of free drinks from them!
Day Trips: We took the organised trip to Famagusta. Apart from the rep writing all our information down wrong and causing problems with passport control (you need a one day visa because you enter Northern Cyprus) which meant we were nearly left behind at the boarder, we had a lovely day. They take you to see ancient ruins, a typical Turkish town and of course the ghost town. It was spooky, and quite sad, but was well worth the £23pp.
We also went to the waterpark in Ayia Napa - WaterWorld. This was brilliant. Reasonable entry price, and then you only had to pay for your locker and food and drink once inside. None of the silly paying for sunbeds, rubber rings etc that you get in some parks. The rides were really good and it was thoroughly enjoyable. We got a taxi there and back, costing only £5 each way.

The main square at night is great if you want a busy clubbing holiday, the bars and clubs are great fun!
I mainly stayed in the main square bit at night, so I don't know too much about the other entertainment the resort has to offer, however, if it is anything like the other entertainments, then i'm sure its great!
The beaches are gorgeous. We stayed near Limanaki beach which was lovely however, it is well worth a trip to Nissi beach in a taxi for the day, absolutely beautiful beach.

Ayia Napa... what can we say! Absolutely love the place! This was our second holiday in 6 weeks here and we intend to come back again in September! It has everything you could want for singles, couples and families. Never a dull moment!
Only problem we had was the sea was very dirty this time with lots of rubbish and debris washed up. Not pleasant to swim in but you can ignore that with the beautiful surroundings.

Ayia Napa is a wonderful place to spend a holiday. In the day there is plenty to do ( or not do if you like to lay on the beach all day) At night there are plenty of places to eat, and for the mature folks like us it is good to see the younger generation enjoying life while we are sitting outside a bar and watching the world go by.

Nissi beach is lovely and we spent every day there. Plenty to do but food outlets are a bit expensive, better to get drinks from the local shops on the road.Gets busy at weekends but quieter away from the bay.
Resort alright at night if you like karaoke, suspect in another 5 years there probably wont be any typical cypriot bars left. Seems to be either restaurants or karaoke bars.

the hotel was excellent but my holiday was a holiday from hell,Ive been to aiya napa three times now and both times i was there i really enjoyed it.I went to aiya napa with my girlfriend and also my friend and his wife.We decided to go out one night to one of Thomas cooks recommended clubs called car wash (situated in the centre of aiya napa square),the place was pretty busy, but while we were in a fight broke out at the other side of the bar,the security who were working there at the time came down into the club punching Innocent people who were just trying to get out of the club for there own safety,i saw one man on the floor and the security was violently kicking him in the head when he was knocked out, when others approached this man on the ground one of the security working there pulled out what looked like a telescopic baton and started hitting everyone with it.We even seen a middle aged woman getting knocked to the ground by security she was just trying to get out of the club for her own safety.A man fell into me who had been hit badly and had blood pouring out of his head.I helped this man to get up out of the club, while helping this man the security ran up behind me grabbed my arm and broke it,knocked me down on the ground and kicked me in the head he then grabbed my girlfriend and threw her out on to the ground outside, where at the time there was an older woman lying on the ground who had been beaten up and needed medical assistance.we were in hospital for two days.We then reported this incident to the police who took us back to the club where the security worked but none of the same security were there when we went to identify them.we were told by locals that this same night club have are in mafia groups and have close contacts with the police,we believe we were involved in a cover up.we also heard that the same night club killed a 22 year old local man last year and the security have a reputation for beating up Innocent people.we would advise all people to "STAY AWAY FROM CAR WASH".I had a very unhappy holiday which also cost me excess for my travel insurance and i also had to take two months off work. They got away with it and will do it again
