Ayia Napa carries a reputation for being a young person's 'hang out'. It certainly caters for the young and as a result is a very lively place at night. A particular night we were in town the beer house TV's were covering the European Cup Final. When Liverpool turned around a deficit to emerge victorious it was not the place to be if you were not a supporter. Everyone was a supporter that night. It was a superb evening. Very loud, boisterous and great fun - even for 'free bus pass' holders.
The resort has plenty of good eating places from sophistication to grass roots yet with discreet and efficient service. Superb beaches if that's what you want but with limited water sports. Probably have to travel out of town for them. I have plans to visit Ayia Napa again but I usually steer either side of the busy and hot mid-summer period.

Ayia Napa was very clean compared to some places i have visited. The entertainment is great for the younger people, bar and clubs open till 7 in the morning.
Beach was perfect with crystal clear waters.

What can I say except this was the best holiday we have ever had.
Great resort with something for eveyone and such friendly people.
You could have the peace of the beaches or the buzz of the centre at Ayia Napa it was up to you ,and nobody pestered
you with hard sell.
If anybody can tell me where there are better beaches then
I will try there because they must be special to beat these.
We will be going back in 2007, or sooner if I can.

Excellent. Water park was brilliant and not too busy when we went. Would go back to Auia Napa tomorrow!!
Even with kids, wouldnt go up to the square though. pompeis bar is excellent, and there another bay that has got a bouncey castle in it. Thats right at the end and down towards the see.
Also try the corn on the cob. Lovely.

Love Ayia Napa, have been 4 times in 7 years. It isn't what people think (a young, noisy, lager-lout resort). It is actually quite quiet in comparison to a lot of places I've stayed it. It has all you need for a holiday for all types of people (families, couples, teenagers, toddlers, older holiday makers etc..)

Aiya Napa is lovely. The beach is very clean and the water is crystal clear at Nissi Beach. The beach has a dj from one of the local clubs playing music during the day and the cafe facilities are suitable. I cannot comment on the nightlife in Aiya Napa as I was exhausted by the evening and asleep by 10pm!!

Found plenty of shops and bars which seemed attractive.
The beach to the East looked good but to the West was rocky with little sandy coves that seemed popular.
All beaches seem to have the blue flag award.
Plenty of litter bins which only ever seemed full at the end of the day.
Transport by bus is limited except to Protarus and Paralimni (every 20mins am - 30 mins pm) buses to Larnaca every hour with last return at 5.30pm so it limits exploring on your own.
If this is typical of Cyprus we shall be going again but will go to the West as we do like to explore and the transport system limited this.

We stayed in Ayia Napa. I have been here before and loved it last time.
The people are friendly and its not full of drunks as you might think, well it was'nt at the beginning of October.
The weather is fantastic the beaches are great with clear blue sea, and there's plenty of water sports. There are loads of bars and clubs most of the clubs don't even open till 12am!
The drinks are cheap, a pint of Carlsberg was £1.20p and a Oina Colada was about the same.
There's also a water park not far away, which was about £14 each and there is a fair with them balls you sit in and it shoots you up. There's something for everyone whatever age.

The resort was clean, plenty of shops bars resturants etc nearby.
We expected no entertainment after reading other reports so was pleased.
A rocky cove, but Nissi beach not far away.
Also water park near by worth a visit.
I do advise plp to look around for trip bargains, there is one right outside the complex and a lot cheaper than via the reps.
