Well where do i begin what a fantastic hotel!!!!!

All these negative comments nearly put me off, but I will say this is one of the best places I have stayed.

The food was good, every day a different menu and very varied, the children's menu was very good as well.

The apartments were very clean and the maid came in every other day, with fresh towels and linen.

Even though we were all inclusive, we still had a kitchen area in the apartment, so no need to pack a kettle!!!

The pool area was very tidy, the pool itself was very clean!! The lifeguard was on duty every day from 9-6pm.

Where do i start about the entertainment staff!!

Bingo every night "ASHRA ASHRA", "OH YEAH" and of course "50" for those of you who have stayed at the Electra you will know what I mean.

ANIS and NIKKI are a credit to Aqua sol hotels and they made our hoilday. They kept us all entertained from 10am to midnight and worked really hard, even when we all left they were waving off our coach.

The parrot show, magic man, Karaoke and Miss Electra were really good.

The kids' club was run by First Choice and we hardly saw our children as BONKERS BECKY, DIZZY DEE and ENERGY EM again entertained them from 10am to 9.30pm, you just put your kids into the sessions. My little boy and my friend's children would have stayed there all day!!! They all worked really hard, and they were amazing with them!!! So much so I hope the resort manager reads this.

Gemma and Sammy our reps, were also very good at there jobs and also greeted us everyday when they were around and about the hotel.

SWIM KIDS, is as absolute must the swimming teacher SARAH was very patient and my little boy and friends little girl got there 5 metre badge, whilst we were out there. Again SARAH is a credit to FIRST CHOICE and very well recommended.

AYIA NAPA itself is amazing and we experienced the nightlife only once (left children with daddies) for a girls' night out.

Bedrock and carwash in bar street was amazing.

Would i go back to the Electra? "OH YEAH"!!!!!!!!!!!!

To everyone that works at the Electra thank you for such a wonderful holiday!!!!!!

You might see my Mum and Dad in October!!!

Wow, what a brilliant holiday. I was a little worried on visiting this resort due to previous reviews but I would 100% reccommend this resort to anyone who wants to have fun.
The entertainment staff Niki and Anis made our holiday along with the girls from the Kids club. If you do not like Bingo i assure you will after your holiday here it was just so entertaining.
The cleanliness and maid service was excellent and the rooms are very large with good balcony's.
We was all inclusive and found the snacks at lunch time to be brilliant and the evening food was varied throughout the week.

We Stayed In A Apartment Room For A Week In May .

The Hotel Was Clean And Staff Were Freindly.

The Location Was In A Good Location Because Its Not In The Center Of Ayia Napa Its About 10 Minutes Walk Away , Its A Very Quiet Area BUT The Entertinment Was POOR , But One Of The Entertainers Was A Freindly And Funny Guy Easy To Get Along With.

The Food Was Good With The Buffet Style Restauant and if you get hungry inbetween meal timesd tyou cand order food from the bar.

We Are Thinking Of Coming Again Next Year.

we booked this holiday 5 weeks before went as we had not been away for a while when we arrived it was 3am checking was good found room straight away, the only thing we would say for people that get there in the early hours of the morning make sure you have some water with you to make yourslef a drink, even more so if you have a baby that is being bottle feed like my 6 month old.

we had a one bed apartment that was clean room was big. we had asked for a cot to be put in the room if you can take yur own i would. the cot was a travel cot it had holes in it was dirty and had a plastic mattress that we took out and but a blanket coved in a sheet it in. beds were ok sofa bed was hard.

if you are going self cattering like us leave plenty of time to cook food it it took us 45 mins to scrambled eggs the cook was very slow and needs updating.

the pool was really good more so for children as the level slow makes its way to the deep end i would say it starts at about 3 inch deep to 6foot deep my baby loved the water. i will say the water was very very cold it was like watching a cartoon people jumping and then getting right out again, plety of sun beds for every one, the reps tell you not to put your towels out but yes the really big party groups do so if you want a set spot get out early
the beach at the bottome of the hotel is rally good
but the sea is every rocky make sure you have some shoes that you can wear in the water

entertainment well could be better the only show we liked was the monday night fire show but that finished the last monday we were there. tina nad alex were really good

yes we would good back to this hotel for another holiday

After reading so many bad reports about the hotel, I was wondering what an earth we were going to and actually got a pleasant surprise, the room was very clean and the balcony was huge, the apartment next to us though had alot of cockroaches, we were never bothered with them.

The pool was big and cleaned everyday and was absolutely freezing.

Food wise the breakfast was a bit disappointing but the lunches and dinners were fine.

Entertainment was a bit disappointing although Alex and Tina fif try their best.

Just returned from staying at the Electra village. We went all-inclusive as Cyprus is expensive to eat out and drinks are even more expensive. All inclusive was well worth it as you can get as many drinks as you want all day and night (til midnight) and then go into town if you want more nightlife. The bar staff were very slow at seving drinks and there only ever seemed to be 2 staff behind the bar, even at the busiest times. Recommend you get 2 or 3 drinks at a time to save waiting ages! The buffet food is not great. The breakfasts are ok and there is fairly good choice. The evening buffet supposedly had theme nights eg; Mexican or Italian night but this was definitely not the sort of Italian or Mexican that we have ever seen in these sorts of restaurants. Brussel sprouts, cabbage??? These were all on offer. Not what you really want on holiday. The snack menu is available nearly all day so we used to eat off this instead as the portions are big enough for a meal in itself. The hotel is great for kids. Plenty of entertainment by the pool and a kids club. Location is good for nightlife. Would not recommend this hotel to young singles or couples. Its definitely a family hotel especially in high season. Generally clean and was a good hol overall.

We booked self catering but upgraded to all inclusive the food is all nice although it doesn't look great. All the meat was cooked perfectly.Very repetative though and chicken nuggets nearly every night for the kids.
The rooms are cleaned every few days and beds and towels changed, but they didn't always clean the balcony and there was alot of bird pooh on it as we were facing the sea and there is alot of pigeons.
The location is fantastic, a small beach right outside is a bit rocky but only a short walk away is a better beach. In the other direction is lots of shops, bars resturants and a fun fair so loads to keep everyone happy. the waterpark is only five minutes in a taxi costing 7 cypriot pounds it's a fantastic day out and a must if you have kids they will love it, we went twice.
The entertainment is shocking. same thing everyday, killer pool, boules, water polo. First choice kids reps were more interested in chatting to each other than the kids unless they were really small and looked cute. Very boring at night. Luckily there was alot of kids there so they all entertained each other and my four made some really nice friends. Alex and Tina who are employed by the hotel are great and try to make everyone happy ,without them it would have been alot worse. There was quite a few teenagers who got served alcohol even thuogh they were only about fifteen and three fights broke out in the two weeks we were there on one occasion the police were called. but this was dealt with very quickly and it didn't affect us or our holiday.
Ear infections rife so be careful, my son got an ear infection(very painful)and he had to stay out of the pool for four days. They acted very quickly, we told reception and within two hours we had seen the doctor, took to the clinic, got the antibiotics and painkillers and were back at the hotel.
The First choice reps and the entertainment was the biggest disappointment.
if you have booked to go here you will have a great holiday(we did) none of the bad points are so bad that it would ruin a holiday.
I would go back to Cyprus but probably not the electra.

We first stayed in the Electra in 2003 and when we re-booked last Sept, it was on the basis of an excellent experience four years ago. At that time we stayed half-board but found the food a bit samey, so this year decided to go self-catering...good decision. Giving it a 3*+ rating is a bit ambitious but it was more than adequate for our needs (2 adults plus a 12 and 9 yr old).

The hotel has changed little in the 4 years since our last visit and provides good value but no great frills holiday. Don't budget for a cheap holiday overall...since joining the euro-zone in 2004 Cyprus is not as cheap as say Turkey or Greece.

Would we go back? Kids definitely would but adults aren't so sure. There are undoubtedly better hotels out there for the same money (we're off to Sri Lanka in 08 for about

Me and my friends returned to the electra holiday village for the second time in 9 months, yes it was that good. All inclusive is definitely worth the money, especially with all the water you'll need to drink in the heat.
Spent every evening at the bar - Jimmy the barman is very friendly. The appartments are clean and the staff are helpful.
We enjoyed every last bit of our holiday.

We have just returned from 2 weeks AI at this hotel.
On first arrival we were a little bit disappointed by the appearance of the place - looks a little dated.

We had paid extra and booked a Superior studio room and we were totally let down by the standard of it.
It had cooking facilities that we wouldnt touch, really dated and grotty furnishings.
The bathroom stank and was an unpleasant place to be.
Ants were a problem and we had to get some spray from the shop to keep on top of them.
We were supposed to have a 'partial sea view' but that was debatable.

The food was really nice with lots to choose from both day and night and we all enjoyed it.

The staff were great and worked really hard.
The entertainment staff were brilliant and again worked really hard - and didnt hassle us when we couldnt be bothered to join in.
The kids really enjoyed the kids club aswell.

All in all we did enjoy our stay here but the place could really do with having a update.
