Visited Electra for 2nd year running. Enjoyed Cyprus again, but overall Electra experience not as good as last year.

Rooms clean, staff friendly. Food very good, but did get a bit repetative, downside of all inclusive.

Trip to water park well worth it. Booked boat trip through First Choice. Could have done it much cheaper independently, but boat was not crowded and felt safer.

As last year, number 2's in pool a couple of times. Why do people pay

We arived at electra about 1am, didn't get a wristband until midday next day, this made no difference though as after 12pm you pay anyway, if you wanted somethin you just told staff your room number.

Staff were very friendly and they couldn't do enough to help. Andreas (restaurant manager) & his wife ran the mini market were lovely people, and gave my children some of their son's birthday cake.

Cleaners seemed to change linen everyday and towels every other day. Our kids went to kids club a few times and enjoyed it, and i can't see where the person who says they always after your money is coming from.
There are outings that you pay for but it is quite simple,if you dont wish to pay you don't send your kids. Ours went to pizza hut for CYP 7 each which gave us 5 hrs away to do what we wanted to do for a change (well worth the money spent)

Pool was lovely, uncrowded and clean, kids never wanted to venture any further than this. I have to comment on how brilliant Kiran(Miss Fish)was, booked our 7 yr old in for swimming lessons and by the end of the holiday he could swim 10 meters and dive into the deep end, he wouldn't even go under water previously.

Never had any problems with the meals, always hot and plenty of choice, although kids meals could have a bit more choice.

As for entertainment, thought Mario and Sasha did a good job,and were very friendly,if you didnt want to join in,a simple no and they would leave you alone. Everyone that did join in tho had a good time and made new friends. We thought the cabaret was good and well put together being as they had only had a week to practise, and they also do other jobs besides this.

If people didn't like the entertainment, why did they stay and watch? Plenty for them to do in town. We left at 8;45pm and the hotel extended the all inclusive until 8pm,even after that they still let us have drinks without charge up until we left.

A brilliant family orientated holiday and we'll definately be going back! Probably in a couple of months if i get my way hahahahaah.

All inclusive is well worth the money. Very clean apartments and complex. The food was okay, buffet style breakfast and evening meal with plenty of variety. Kids corner with pizza, burgers, fries etc. The staff were all helpful and extremly friendly. The entertainment was really for kids magic shows, mini disco etc. There were also quiz games, karaoke and live dance shows for all the family. I would visit Electra again.

Booked our holiday at the Electra 3 weeks before departure, and it wasn't cheap. On arrival I was disappointed with the accommdation, was expecting 4 Star, however, would suggest it should only have a 2-3 Star rating. Rooms were reasonable comfy/clean, but very basic. We couldn't get sun loungers unless we went down at about 0700-0800 hrs and sat around the pool. Although we were self catering we ate at the Electra occasionally for lunch, and found the food OK, but nothing special. Most of the staff were friendly and welcoming. I would not stay at the Electra again as I feel it was not worth the money we paid for our weeks holiday and it's definately not worthy of the star rating it currently has. I would visit Cyprus again though, as it is alovely island.

We did not arrive at hotel until early hours and were not allowed our wrist bands until next day.On our departure day all inclusive stopped at 5pm ! So in 36c heat no drinks and no evening meal !
Staff were helpful and polite. Food was of a good standard. You can walk into the town in about 20mins and nissi beach is also about 20 mins walk. Don't book to go to water world through the reps ,as it is cheaper to get money off vouchers from people giving them out on the street. We thoroughly enjoyed the catamaran cruise lots of snorkeling and swimming. The hotel was very clean and staff always clearing up.
Mario and Sasha try their best to entertain but the entertainment is very poor ! ! Watch out for Elvis trying to sell you dodgy dvds.Kids club wants you to part with money at every opportunityand you'll be asked to buy bingo or raffle tickets every day.

Just returned from the Electra and had a fab time. The accommodation is very clean and has everything you could need, including air con!!!
The Pool area is great for adults and children and never got over crowded. The complex is not very large and had a great atmosphere.
Food varied every night and there was always something for everyone. Entertainment every night too which kept the children amused with the kids disco and the various shows they offered. Good fun!!!
Hotel is within easy walking distance to both Ayia Napa and Nissi Bay. Both well worth a visit.
Don't forget to try waterworld too, 5 mins away by taxi which was a great day out.
The Electra is situated directly on a small beach which offers water sports at a very reasonable price, much cheaper than on Nissi beach and they are exactly the same.
Would definately go back here, staff are excellent, they could not do enough for you and overall the hotel makes a good base for a fab family holiday!!!!

Have just returend from a week at the Electra and it's the first time we've been somewhere that we know we would go again! Lovely spacious apartment - also very cool due to air conditioning (a must in June!). Beautiful swimming pool with a 'walk in' area - great for the kids. Two minutes walk to the beach which had plenty of sunbeds. The kids club reps were fab and our two wanted to go to kids club every day we were there!!
Food not too bad but 'kids corner' a but limited - checken nuggets, fish fingers, sausages, chips etc (the usual!!) Staff very friendly and polite. All in all a great holiday - would recommend this to families!

We stayed all inclusive at the Electra and found this to be the worst possible choice. The food was absolutely dire serving dishes such as hungarian goulash, and if you are a vegetarian you basically have the option of veggie pizza, pasta or sandwiches - certainly not what I would rate as 4*.
The food was served buffet style and was often cold. We did notice towards the end of the holiday the catering staff starting to set the buffet out at 5pm when the restaraunt didn't open until 7pm!
We also noticed that the all inclusive guests seemed to be served all of their drinks in plastic cups which you had to obtain yourself from the bar whilst self catering guests received table service and proper glasses!
The alcohol served on the all inclusive option was no better than the food, as an example wine was served from a cardboard carton not a bottle and tasted like vinegar!
The cleanliness of the complex was average in public areas, the pool was a little grubby and I would not like to see what it looked like at the end of the season. Our apartment was only cleaned on the last day of the holiday as were the towels and the linen was also changed only once. This is not what was printed in the brochure!
The hotel staff were not particularly friendly and the reps who headed the entertainment do little more then get on everybodies nerved with their constant screaming over the microphone trying to either rope you into some mundane activity or get money from you for raffle tickets! The evenving entertainment was no better and I would warn you to steer well clear of the reps caberet night which is no more than a very bad karaoke!!!
There is no way that I would rate this accommodation as 4* in comparison with other properties in the area and I would definately never go back!

We stayed here on a self catering basis and had a wonderful room overlooking the pool.

The room was very spacious and very cool which is what you need when it starts to get hot.

The hotel is a short walk from the main road into Ayia Napa. Along that main road there was a wealth of bars and restaurants for those on a self catering holiday. We found that around twenty pounds would feed and water us per day for an evening meal. We used to get snacks etc from the on site hotel shop to tide us over during the day.

For the lads holiday crowd there is a lap dancing bar at the end of the road too - so ladies if your husband goes off for a walk at night you know where he will be!!!!

A lovely beach is just off the hotels grounds that has shallow waters too.

The staff in the hotel were helpful and polite, we cannot comment on the waiters etc as we never used them.

There was an entertainment package all day with volunteers required for sporting activities etc and in the evening a children's disco and usually Karaoke or a guest entertainer.
Well worth a visit.
